Here is a quick little video showing you how to change the battery on your Honda keyfob! Easy!
This key came from a 2015 Honda Odyssey but should work for most Hondas with this same Keyfob. This car key is a pretty simple process to replace the 2032 Battery. First you want to start by removing the actual emergency key. Then you can use that emergency key to crack the case open. At that point, you have access to the battery within the key fob. Remove the 2032 battery and put it all back together and you're all set!

This video taught me two very important things: 1) How to easily change the battery and... 2) That there is an actual key inside. My 12 yr old literally just asked me yesterday about where the key was for the glove box. I told her I had no idea as the dealer never gave us a key haha. Very helpful video. when i flipped the battery out, the module separated and the HOLD button fell out. i got it back in and all was well but be careful when you flip the battery out. great vid thanks!

Thanks. I had our Odyssey serviced yesterday at the dealer and this message popped up this evening. Getting ready to take a trip and don't have time to go back to the dealer. I happened to have a card with 9 batteries purchased from the dollar table at the hardware store - three of them were CR2032. Perfect. Great instructions.

My dealership said they would replace the battery for free if I brought it in but it's 110 mile round trip for me so it was a lot easier and cheaper from me to buy a battery and put it in myself. Thanks for the video

For whomsoever it may concern, you could also use CR2025 if you don't have CR2032. There is a spring which pushes it to fit perfectly
