It takes a lot of time, effort, and dedication to build a custom car. It also requires a variety of skills, including mechanical knowledge, design and aesthetic sense, and attention to detail. Building a custom car is a labor of love for many people, and the finished product is a reflection of their passion and creativity. It can be a rewarding experience to see a project through from start to finish and have a unique vehicle to show for it.

Idk to me it looks childish current set-up, it will be futuristic if it has an alloy rim similar to the one they used in caption which is entirely made out of glass that glows with moving fire,galaxy type of shit or flowing water effect etc...
@stuartlark6441 Жыл бұрын
You should definitely put the lights in the wheels, then you can connect them to the indicator stick so that they flash orange on the left wheels when turning left and orange on the right wheels when turning right, this would be very visible and then no one could ever say that they didn't see a turn signal, very futuristic. Love the project, keep up the good work, cant wait to see the finished van.

Nope, as builder, it is easy to take a van first to build something. U can start from scratch, but it is not easy as you said. So the best way to get the vehicle chassis as main frame. That's what they do. The level the mechanical part will be easy if you use this method
@Lazarus19402 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. They did use the frame and front suspension. Also, sometimes (like in the case of the frame extension) the project dictated changes that take more of the donor vehicle away than previously thought.

But your beginning work on your wheel facade I think it's passable a nice piece of eye candy... Can't wait to watch part 2 so far the skills you all demonstrate are fantastic... And I don't want to forget about the great imagination that come up with concept and are working that concept... I have a challenge for you if you decide to accept it.. This reminds me of 4th year at school and in the metal work class we were allowed to make our own 'thing'. 1st year I made a metal bottle opener, 2nd year I made a small F1 model car and 3rd year a small model tank. By the 4th year students were encouraged to design and build their own thing. One of my classmates came up with an idea to build a car from scratch, probably 3/4 scale, half way between a go-cart and a full sized car, we all thought he was mad and it would never happen! How wrong we were, first he built the frame out of angle iron, then old car wheels went on, axels, a seat, steering, pedals, brakes etc before he fitted an engine he would push this home every afternoon, I guess to work on it or maybe limited space in class to store it. Then the next morning he would push it back into school every morning.😲😳 Next an engine went in and he was driving this thing around the school yard, we were all very impressed. It was very crude, very angular, all straight edges, not a curve anywhere, imagine the Tesla cyber truck without the aluminium panels, just a frame and you'll be close, he painted the frame red which made it look even nicer.👍

It’s obvious that you guys know what you are doing and you must have some sort of a technical education cause it’s amazing to see what you guys are doing and I loved it. The only thing you maybe don’t know is that zink primer is not ment to be painted over because of its self sacrificing characteristic it will eventually reject other paint layers applied on top of it. That’s what the technical sheets of zinkprimer always told me and that’s why mostly epoxy primers are used. For anything else I would say keep up the absolutely great work! Looking forward to seeing the next one!

On the other side, I keep hearing that the market is out of control and experiencing a dead cat bounce. Why does this happen?

You do an amazing job, here! I really love the idea of infinite mirrors in wheels. I was playing with that sort of thing at school. I would suggest to make it work sort of like spinners from NFS Underground 2, that is when the car is standing, the leds pattern would spin but when a car is in motion, the pattern would spin the other way, so it appears to be standing. Therefore it would be better if there was no engraving around the rim, just a logo in the middle. The engraving should also be on the inner (mirror) side of the "sandwitch" which would remove the image being shown as pairs which kind of spoils the overall effect.

I would suggest that The wheels light should be neon yellow and the whole wheel should be covered with plexiglass
