I lost count of how many times this made me smile. Great playing all around of course and Sarah totally holds her own in this group at the age of just seventeen.

Awesome stuff, thanks for uploading this! Great players all, and I can't get enough of Grisman musical banter. Sharing the experiences and joy of his life's work in music with up and coming artists as well as audiences is simply invaluable.

Sold my mandolin last year to pay rent. This video's absolutely forcing my hand to buy a new one as soon as possible haha They're so great, all of them just shred so fluently

I love Sarah's breaks. Awesome phrasing.

I agree. Even back then when she was a teenager, her playing seemed effortless and mature, no evidence of young showoff!

Fred Robbins maybe one day I'll be able to make my mandolin say what I want it to say, too

Never hold an acoustic instrument against your stomach unless you want to mute the sound. For people of size, especially, it's a good rule to remember.

Did I just wakeup in a bluegrass hell? If so then turn up the heat!!! I love this shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bo Jangles, thinking back on the old Ovation guitars with their fiberglass bodies, I believe you are right. I stand corrected. Just don't let the belly overhang onto the front of the instrument!

What's the tune that Dawg and Sarah warm up with? And I must add that she doesn't look intimidated and just jumps right in.

That's not true. 93% of an instrument's sound comes from the instrument's soundboard.
