In French we say : "Déshabiller Pierre pour habiller Paul" and it commes from the twelfth century, In churches it was customary to dress the statues of the saints during processions. Parishes that do not have enough ornaments dress and undress the saints according to the festivals. The problem is that Saint Paul and Saint Peter are celebrated on the same day. It is therefore useless to undress Peter to clothe Paul, except to get rid of one problem to create another.

Good lesson.❤ Sharing what I was told about its origin: Both Peter and Paul were apostles of Christ with churches named after them. Paying church taxes or giving tithes/offerings meant for one church to give to the other is stealing from God!

Hi! "Robbing Peter to pay Paul" is a good idiom to use in speaking English. About the trees, when the green leaves become yellow at the beginning of autumn that means that their life is coming to an end like an old human. I can say, the cancer for human is like the yellow colour for leaves. God bless you!

Hi Mark! Your lesson is beautiful and useful. And I think that on a dry tree branch, the leaves turn yellow faster. If blood vessels pass blood worse, then aging probably occurs earlier. ?

Depending on the species, autumn leaves can take on various shades - from yellow to red. What matters is a gradual but not sudden drop in temperature. Also, the amount of light that reaches the leaves should decrease slowly. Sudden changes will cause the leaves to fall to the ground before they have a chance to change their color.

"Robbing petter To pay Paul "is not à stupid idea hhhh . Because petter does not know who robbs his money🤔 And Paul does not know that the money was robbed.😉 The problème was solved hhhh
