I know nothing about Mods or scooters, but what brought me here was the video for The Kinks - Tired of Waiting for You - they look like Mods, with their smart suits and starched collars!! I wondered if they were ever part of that movement. Also, where I live in Cambridge, every Sunday at the Grafton Centre, their scooters are always lined up and they are standing about chatting. I don’t know why they go there, it’s a crumbling dump, but I always see them if I am up there on a Sunday. Several years ago, I was in Debenhams with my brother and he said:-“There’s a Mod!!” - one of them was in there with his messenger-style bag with the distinctive target logo on it. Rarely see them now, do they still exist, Mods? I know they came out of the 1960s when my Mum and Dad were about to get married. Don’t see many Mods (skin heads frighten me) nowadays.

I was never a mod mate I was a skin head 18 hole docks and all that but the scooters look great
