Robby is always a good sport. Even though the clip is about Jim, if it weren't for Robby we would never know who Jim is. His guitar playing made the Doors, just like Rays organ and Johns drums!

If it wasn't for Robbie, we would never know who Jim was? Laugh my ass off. Your high. 50 years after Jim's death they are still asking Robbie about Jim. 50 years after Robbies death they will still be talking about Jim Morrison. The one and only. Note the first time Robbie heard the doors on the radio the song was Break on through. Written by Jim.

I'm 41 and the doors have been my favorite band since I was about 16. One of those one in a billion bands. Amazing unique guitar playing(for a rock band) by Robby. Amazing and unique keyboarding(for a rock band) by Ray. Amazing and unique(for a rock band) drumming by John. Then just an amazing poetic and amazing singer. All 4 come together to make pure unique gold. The reason I said "for a rock band" is because I remember reading about John being into jazz, Robby into a few things outside of Rock, Ray also seemed to be into multiple differing things but they all came together and made one hell of a rock band.

Man, I love seeing these videos of Robbie reacting to media with Doors references. I had the privilege of seeing him and his band perform at a venue in St. Louis called "The Galaxy" back in, I believe 2001. I'm not even sure if it exists anymore. They played their originals (and of course some Doors songs as well.) They sounded really good. My only complaint is that when they played Doors songs; you could hear where the keyboard player was missing the fills that Ray Manzarek played so beautifully and flawlessly. No hate on that guy; he was really good. But you simply cannot replace anyone in that band and expect them to sound as good. The highlight of the night was when Robbie broke into "Spanish Caravan" with that beautiful Flamenco style that he brought to the table; so unabashedly perfect. The Doors are a once in a lifetime band; and I'm more than happy that I at least got to see Robbie playing some Doors songs and originals as well. It was a great experience that I'm so grateful to have witnessed. You can tell from these videos that he really misses Jim.
