Wow, that was impressive. I am not a paddleboarder fan, but you gotta give it to him, that was an incredible ride. Thanks for sharing.

GREAT..! 2:15 of fun! Beautiful location and the paddle really helps A LOT. I am thinking J-Bay could be a possibility for another "leg burner ride".
@jamesbadham2287 жыл бұрын
JBay is not even close to that length.

Imagine catching a wave for so long that you need 7 cameras to film it

I was in Pavones back in -99. Lived at at fantastic guesthouse run by a "old american hippie". Got 850-degree sunburn first, recoverd and did some low level surfing. Best time ever.

And Imagine if he was actually surfing a shorebreak! As oppose to a point break!
@jamesbadham2287 жыл бұрын
No, he's not. He's SUPing. In surfing you catch the wave using only your own power. And then you can actually do something on the wave. He's a good SUPer, but as long as he has a broom, not only to catch waves but to help him turn, he ain't surfing.
@79pejeperro7 жыл бұрын
James Badham and what power do you use to catch a wave with a sup? An engine?

This is an old video, but putting this out there anyway. Robby Naish is the ultimate waterman, a 24 times world champion windsurfer, kiteboarding and SUP pioneer (2 x kite boarding world champion also). Perhaps check out this video showing him across these disciplines at age 50 before throwing shade on his efforts in this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gaTLfYOCeduXjc0

@LGguedo4 жыл бұрын
This isn’t close to longest, I have seen several almost 4 minute rides in Peru. And on a SUP?
@BiggeDiehl4 жыл бұрын
Robbie is one of the great Watermen in the old tradition, and he can ride anything from a SUP, Sailboard, Kiteboard, Foilboard, and long and short surfboards. How about you?
@LGguedo4 жыл бұрын
Bill Diehl - been surfing 40 years, lived in Chile and other places surfing my way through life. I have SUPs, outrigger and windsurfed when I was a kid. Robbie is a legend, I am not. However I am not a fan of sups in the lineup and don’t take mine out to spots where people are paddling and lined up. Just my take.
@apemanfool7 жыл бұрын
It should be a sin to post any SUP video without saying what board the person is riding.
@hamburgler44247 жыл бұрын
I like how he measures waves from backs.. That's how it should be done
@CrustyBalls0077 жыл бұрын
Ah wait, I thought it said Robby Nash surfs the largest shore break or something, I was fooled into thinking it would be interesting and exciting...nope instead I have pulled a cold drink and contemplated boogie boarding! Let's hope tomorrow gets better
@FishOutofWater007 жыл бұрын
I've seen spongers do amazing shit...double barrel rolls inside of crushing 5 ft Hawaiian shorebreak... then get shot out like a cannon ball with a blast of spray. This shit was slow, weak and lame.

@OM3N1R7 жыл бұрын
Pavones breaks that long. They needed multiple cameras because of how long the wave is, haha
@mikelfernandez17427 жыл бұрын
Thanks you for your answer. I know Pavones breaks so long. The thing that makes the video a bit unbelievable (i'm not saying it is) is that in some moments there is not sincronization in the images (for example in 2:04-2:05 it is not the same moment....different turns and apparently different waves). Anyway, good paddle surfin' and video!! GOOD WAVES!
@davidcramer41737 жыл бұрын
Mikel Fernández you correct this video is several different waves. What a joke.

There needs to be a new word for guys with paddles PADDLERS,or SURFPADS.Because technically, like guys who ride Doyle boards are spongers,this is not,to a purist, a SURFER.

Ha ha, SUPs the new spongers
