Caroline beating Teeny would run entirely counter to your theories about "shiny people," Shannon. Teeny is among the shiniest players ever seen in this show. You're still in the mindset that strategic merit translates *directly* to win equity, and I think we've seen that it doesn't. That doesn't mean that strategy discussions are moot, just that they need to consider this "inherent likability factor" when arguing for win equity. This is Kenzie and Charlie all over again.

Likeability is subjective. To me Teeny comes across like a whiny child and is the least likeable person in the game in my opinion. The clear smarts and self confidence of Caroline, Genevieve and Rachel would be much easier to like and respect. I'd even prefer Sue, she's a mess but also a badass.

@neonarachnid Yes, but you're not in the game. We've consistently seen that the people on the island appear to really like and respect Teeny. Even if a player doesn't like them, they should still be able to see how much everyone else does. Part of being socially aware and good at the game is being able to recognize the natural charisma of players like Teeny, Fabio, and Kenzie and appreciate how dangerous it is.

@@abrahamgrigsby9300 Fabio won Survivor against a very strategically competent players like Chase and Sash and Chase was generally pretty amicable. He did this by basically just not playing Survivor.

@@thefoxoflaurels3437 That's exactly my point. Some people just have charisma, and that makes them dangerous to bring to the end no matter how "little" or "badly" they played. A good story/reason to want the money can help, too. In the end, it's a game for a million dollars, and most people are going to vote for the person they most want to *have a million dollars*, not the person who necessarily "played best."

Nick 😍 Huge agree that Gabe just didn't resonate for me, but I do enjoy everyone else left. Lmao love the tangent to discuss memes. Shannon trying to figure out what Nick has and has not picked up about the fan reception this season due to his social media hiatus was also very entertaining! I'm definitely on team Shots in the Dark though.

This actually has been the scenario in at least half of new era seasons, Nick.42, 43, 46 at least followed this same format of the smaller "threats" eliiminating bigger ones and carrying goats to the finals. Arguably 44 as well... 44 had Carolyn and Heidi being kept through for the finals.
