@@RobDaman If it’s any consolation prize I ordered the metal filter housing from Amazon and when I was installing the bottom part of it it cracked while tourqing. Not the part that cracked on yours but the part that relieves the over spillage that holds the smaller O ring..So I too will be taking a trip to the Toyota dealer to get a metal housing the Amazon is metal - but it’s kind of flimsy in it’s own way

I’m surprised they didn’t break that plastic oil filter housing as tight as they had it in there. Thanks for the video this confirms why I will not take my recently purchased Land Cruiser to a shop for service they’re not gonna put the time and pay attention to details. And if you think the dealer is safe one time I had them use the wrong oil on my car by swapping me and another customers ticket

Did you only fill with 7 qt? Ive checked several sites and theyre all recommending 7.9qt with filter. Not entirely sure what they meant tho.

No. You check your dip stick and add accordingly so no overfill

What do you think about using the metal filter housing they usually come with the RAV4 or the Highlander. I ordered one just wanna get your opinion before I put it on my Land Cruiser. I was told its the same part number I noticed you didn’t change that and you remain with the factory plastic. Your thoughts?
