Yeah that's all they are videos about photography not actual photography is it you need space a wall a some lux this does not do them any justice its ego more than anything no actual instructions is there its just look at me. Robert Adams is a white as it gets in photography there are is only one Robert that's Frank he European like me 😂😂😂😂

Robert Adams is one of a kind, both in terms of his approach to his American and life experience and in his unwavering attentiveness to quiet things on the verge of destruction. And you celebrated this book with that same level of attentiveness. Well done Robbie.

I never got Robert Adams until a few years ago, when I finally convinced myself that less is more and you can put across your point of view quite effectively without shouting. I guess in a way that is what film does. I find his photography thought provoking and soothing at the same time. Another photographer who challenged my ideas about landscape photography was the fellow Brit, the late Raymond Moore.
@RobbieMaynardCreates19 күн бұрын
That is a great reference point - Raymond Moore had a similar approach to photographing the natural landscape in a simple but complex way.
@lensman576219 күн бұрын
@@RobbieMaynardCreates The other photographer who left a lasting impression on me over 4 decades ago was Faye Godwin. Her later work where she clearly explored the effect of human activity on nature and its consequences are my favourites.

Hi, Robbie. Great video, man. Adams is indeed a great photographer and the book you show in the video shows just how good he was. The second part of your video is spectacular, we don't have these types of clouds here in the Netherlands. I understand that you want to record that. Impressive and the photos are also very good. This was a sunset, my friend. And you have had your cooling down and are no longer bothered by flying. Antoine

@@RobbieMaynardCreates I have very few channels that I always watch and yours is one of them. We similar interests in cameras models. I use the 45-degree Kiev 88 prism on my C220 tho, and the GW680iii is my preferred Fujica. When/if you get the itch for an SLR again, Hartblei still sells new Kiev 60s & 88s 😁

ok, wow. I rolled my eyes when you said you were going out and taking inspiration from mr adams, but your photos were exceptional. that is a very difficult [for lack of a better terms] genre and shooting like adams and his years of shooting social landscapes. your video setups alone made for some very strong compostions. Ima fan. one of the best videos i've seen. Hope those are posted elsewhere. looking for you on Insta.

@@RobbieMaynardCreates i didn’t see all of the images (I only saw 10 or so) and it didn’t quite grab me, I didn’t feel anything special looking at them and couldn’t pull any meaning from them either, but I like how you put these few in a context and talked about them. I’m still not a huge fan, but I’m a lot more open to the name and the book now than I was before watching it, if I find a cheap used copy in the stuffed book shop of my choosing I may buy it

@markmurton550713 күн бұрын
@@RobbieMaynardCreates Thank you. Hadn't heard of Logan Baker. 2 quick observations. I'm concerned from an entirely selfish perspective that you are creating too many videos and will burn out so bear this in mind as I'm planning on watching these for the next few years or more. (No pressure.) the other one - if you get fed up with the photography, you could get a job creating soundtracks for films. I'm sort of thinking John Carpenter type stuff based on recent videos :)

@@RobbieMaynardCreates I don’t know what just happened, but that was single-handedly one of the best videos on KZbin I have ever witnessed. If KZbin Oscars existed that would definitely win hands down. And the photos taken are exactly where us analogue photographers are trying to go. Wow I feel completely honoured the panoramic Ultamax shot was a personal favourite as that’s what I’m shooting at the moment even though it’s expensive. Top content from a top photographer pushing the boundaries for the community.
