Robert I watched every minute of your video with great appreciation for the work you put in to making this video. You brought back some great memories of my youth when trapping was part of my life. Your grandparents left you a great gift: their knowledge and an awesome trapline. 15 LINX. That’s crazy.and 2 Wolverines. Definitely gods country. My last season 0:06 trapping in the late 70’s we got 2 linx, many beaver 50+, Fox and martin galore, mink and otter. Back then a blanket beaver got $110. Every part of your video was a true depiction of a real trapper from the blanket beaver, the constant work of trail maintence, , the cold, the cracked windshield to the reality of the days catching nothing. I especially liked the way you show respected to the animals you caught. I have worked hard in my life but no job came close to running a true trapline. Up at 5am back by 5pm or later then skinning until 11pm. I wish you and your family well and that next season all your traps a full tomorrow. Peace!

Another great video, thanks for doing them. Gonna have to check out that 250-3000 round and see how it does. Where do you find ammo for it?

In Montana trappers hang a chicken wing over the bobcat dirt sets. The wing swivels in the wind and bobcats are curious. Maybe grouse wing for lynx? Yeah Mrs Rez Trapper!

That bird makes me hungry,I'm a grouse hunter from way back. If you completely pluck the grouse and cook it with the skin on. It will be soon much better. Nice and juice. Skinned and cooked over a fire tends to dry the meat out.

Bob, That dog might get ran over it you go near a road because you havent taught it to come back to you when you call it. It only cost you some grouse this time and next time maybe a moose. Start with a leash , then teach it to sit, then have it sit and stay. then use a light rope and hook to dogs collar and have it sit and stay and walk about 15 feet away then say dogs name and pull rope to you real fast and when dog gets to you praise it by saying its name and ''good boy, good boy'' and give it a piece of smoked meat or cheese. It will take a few lessons but you will have a better dog and a better companion. Children and dogs are so much alike and live on love and praise. ''ONLY GIVE DOG A TREAT WHEN IT DOES WHAT YOU SAY RIGHT''. Do not hit dog or loose patience is very important. If you dont teach it it will be like an unrully child and ignore you. I had my dog 18 years and it was one of the most rewarding companion and hunting partner I could ever ask for. They are smarter than you think, but only smart If you teach them like your grandpa taught you. Be proud of yourself and the dog by teaching it . Good luck and get Bullwinkle. I just put a load of jerky in the smokehouse.

Robert, are you familiar with the technique of when you just get the chicken? Step on both wings with each foot and pull on the feet. The breast separates from the body and you cut off the legs. Takes one minute and no plucking.
