I just keep coming back to this tune. The whole "Six String Soliloquy" album just makes the world seem like a kinder and calmer place. I love to listen to it in my pottery studio....it's like walking in the woods on a beautiful day.

I love you Robert. I never had a brother by blood, but musically, you've surely been one of them.

Maybe you are thinking about a different company... I am talking about Larson guitars made in chicago under the names of Stahl, Euphonon, Prairie State, and Mauer guitars. They are some of the most beautiful sounding guitars I have heard. Sparkley. Warm.

20 times here. Great listening. It's perfect music for film. Can I have the Publishing?
@WilMaring17 жыл бұрын
the guitar is a Larson guitar from the early 40's (or maybe late thirties). They have a sparkley tone- not quite as bassy as a dreadnought. He's the only guy I know that plays these. They're kinda rare. Yeah he'd like an endorsement, but those Larson brothers are playin' in the Angel Band. Any other guitar makers out there need an endorsee?

The guitar is sooo good. BUT Robert makes it sing this way! Hope he gives us the TAB book of his new cd someday

@GoldFish2434 .. I was thinking .. " Damn that Steve Carell can pick a mean flat top !!! " .. all kidding aside .. this guy's got skills .. SERIOUS SKILLS !!!
@tinian3317 жыл бұрын
How can he flat pick so flawlessly? Some passages almost sound like classical guitar finger picking. The Sinti Gypsies (Reinhardt, Bireli, Rosenberg) are all masters of flat picking, but I think that they too would find this challenging.

He had two old Martin's. They are both awesome sounding guitars however, one is a little 'brighter' whereas the other is just a tad more mellow. My guess would be that this is the brighter of the two. I wouldn't know a Martin from a Sears Bradley Kincade model guitar had Mr. Bowlin not showed me his guitars "back when." He may have even changed guitars since then. Got an Endorsement? His own Robert Bowlin model. Wouldn't that be nice? He's a superb musician.

Robert, beautiful playing, my friend. And what a fine composition this is. I have probably listened to it 10 times already. Keep up the great work. Do you by chance produce any instructional materials or recommend any particular guitar methods?

Amazing....!!! Where can I get the tab for this song?

Its a Larson guitar from the '30's.

It's just a drop D tuning- standard except the low E is lowered to a D.

Nice piece. If you get a spare hour or two maybe you could figure out a nice arrangement of Mozart's Sonata in C-- the really cute one-- and put out a video for the fans.

I've seen his shapely, blonde, ex-wife and feel it's safe to assume, he's not a virgin. He's also an awesome fiddler and one heck of a fine Luthier. Haven't seen him around in while. He sure can pick.
