A really humble and kind man. So different from the tough guys he always plays in the movies. What a fabulous actor.

Duvall is one of my mentor’s acting heroes, and from this interview alone, I can see why. He’s a strikingly articulate and insightful actor, with a great understanding of his craft.

Excellent movie and great acting… as an Army brat of a career military man, I could relate in many ways. The relationships dtr/dad and son/dad intensity so right on… A troubling, truthful, real portrayal of some military families. Love Pat Conroy’s writing.

Apocalypse Now was good. The Great Santini was just okay in my opinion - more like a made for TV movie or after school special where they’re trying to teach some family lesson.

People really love it I actually really hate it. Admittedly mostly because it depicts the one thing I can’t take in film- cruelty to dogs made I think even more distasteful that the characters never react to it It’s just back to the meechum family drama…yeah I don’t care I’m more worried about those fur babies
