Thanks for getting that one done Don. I remember first time I heard this song like 20 some years ago and when he said the line oklahoma '95, and being an okie I had to do some research. And he said he was supposed to play a show in OkC the day after the bombing, after he got all the details and heard they captured McVeigh, he pondered on that for awhile and thought about how many people got pulled over, questioned after that, and came up with this. REK is a gifted writer and musician. thanks again.

I had heard the song probably 20 times and never connected it. Yesterday, I listened to the podcast about the bombing. This morning, it popped up randomly on yt music and I was just singing along until I heard that "late April, Oklahoma, '95". 🤯 Listened to it multiple times after that.

Hey, I think the whole story is loaded with fertilizer. Do you recall the part about stealing Daddy's Charolais cows? They are white and gray... One of his live albums (Ryman live?) is a staple for any road trip. The tempos get me right on down the highway, I understand about three words per mile!!!!😂😂😂😂😂 I took a picture of the car dashboard showing high speed, low gas and Feeling Good Again playing on mp3.❤

I wouldn't have known either that it was connected to Oklahoma bombing of a federal building. Good song though

This version is much faster than the studio version...and IMO, not NEARLY as good.
