Kennedy's overall philosophy is basically intact, nearly ten years later. Which says a lot about him. I was shocked to hear him use the sobriquet "Teabaggers" to describe the Tea Party movement back then. Because those very same people are his strongest supporters since big tech/big government shut him down. I much prefer the Robert Kennedy, Jr., of 2023: That Kennedy is a uniter, a healer, and not a name caller.

I like listening to RFK Jr too, but when he talks about free markets as a solution, I am not sure. Noam Chomsky, who is one of the most educated people with the most sharpest mind, repeatedly makes the case that a true capitalist economic system would collapse in our society. It makes to me that our society would collapse if it suddenly switched to absolutely no government intervention. Bobby is only talking about one type, but there are several ways in which the government are in kahootz with wealthy and powerful corporate industries. Government intervention is massive and pervasive throughout society. It is not simply instances. It is the way we do things in our society. Government subsidies, government contracts, cutting taxes for the wealthy and corporations, the ownership of our media by powerful corporations, the funding and control by our state and federal elections by the corporate establishment. We need structural change across the board and to build and establish some kind of online democratic platform so that ordinary citizens can participate in the political process on a daily basis in a very meaningful, practical, and significant way.

I will be voting for RFKjr. I still don't understand why he is so enthusiastic about wind energy. It has many environmental problems. The disposal of the blades is a problem. The blades kill many large birds such as Condors & Eagles. Solar Is also problematic because the panels are made from toxic metals that are mixed using slave labor in countries like China. Government and the entire corporate establishment along with extremely powerful interests work so well with each other that some industries get to write their own public policy in order to best suit them, and often, what best suits corporations are not in the best interest of poor people, or the working class, or human beings in general. I sincerely hope that before the Republican Party dig up some of these old interviews to try to find inconsistencies with what you are saying now that you rethink your naive notion that everything will be just fine if we clean up all the corruption in our economic, political, and social structures. It will take structural change in order to do that because the corporate elite owns government -- federal, state, and local -- and they are doing all they can to own our entire society including our lives and the way we think and view the world. They own the courts for Christ sake. They are just not going to give in and agree to change on their own with so much power and wealth at stake. There is only way to force the political, social, and economic structures to change in our society, and that is if the general public had a democratic structure of our own -- via some kind of online, democratic, public platform -- that would allow ordinary citizens to participate in the political process in a very meaningful, pragmatic, and significant way.

Yes, how did this all pan out? This Winter people got stuck out in the cold when their car wouldn't charge in the freezing cold. Enterprise car rental dumped thousands of EVs because they were too expensive to repair. The EV cars are very expensive & the batteries are, too. Here in California, Sacramento has not built enough power plants, so we don't have the infrastructure to support charging large numbers of EV cars.
