hey everyone is allowed to have their opinion, good or bad. My opinion is that Robert WAS the finest looking nude or clothed actor on the show, and that his and Hal's characters as a gay couple were the BEST.

At first I wasn't sure about them ( and the steroids storyline in season 3 was really terrible ) but when I was watching season 4 and 5 everytime I saw Mike and Ben together I thought "This is the best couple on the show along with Mel and Linds" and I think Ben is the most underappreciated character on QAF.

1000% yes. Ben is such a gorgeous specimen of masculinity - a perfect blend of physical beauty and intellect. He is way more attractive than Brian, not least because of his kindness, generosity and decency. The way he looks at Michael ... every person deserves to have someone look at him that way at least once in a lifetime. Michael's immaturity, whining mama's boy and puppy love following Brian around seeking attention and approval - without any pride or dignity - was wearying and nail-on-the-blackboard aggravating. He finally grew up when he met Ben and pursued him - after almost losing him because he was so weak - listening to other people's opinions about Ben.

One thing that disappointed me about the show was that not one of Emmett's family members ever featured in any episodes. Yes, he came from Hazelhurst, Mississippi, but we never really knew how close (or estranged) Emmett was from his parents. The only family member Emmett mentioned at all, or with any affection, was his "Aunt Lulu" - of whom he spoke of fleetingly regarding what foods he ate when bonding with her (sucking on kosher dill pickles on the front porch, which was 'crucial' to his 'psycho-sexual development'). Did Emmett have a sister or brother he was close to? I know that if my boyfriend went into rehab, my sisters would be visiting me in no time.... We also never met a family member of Melanie Marcus, either. Being Jewish, I would've thought Mel's mother would've been more involved with her only daughter. Yes, Melanie went to live with 'cousin Rita' for a spell after separating from Lindsay, but even in the attempted bris scene where Bryan forbid Mel to allow Gus' foreskin to be severed, we never met any of Melanie's family members. Did she have any siblings? Dunno. The only thing we know about Mel's family was that she was close to her grandfather, Herman, who survived the Holocaust, who also gave Melanie her Hebrew name, Rachel.

Robert, Peter and Randy made QAF what it is.....as openly gay actors they brought authenticity and reality to their roles. Kudos. The entire cast was brilliant, but the three of them were pivotal to the show's success. Without them, the show wouldn't have been as real or as grounded.

Totally agree Brian Fucking Kinney, which doesn't take away anything from the series in it's entirety, loved every minute of it. I'm on my I think 9Th watch. Plus when TV is crappy I throw in a season whatever disc and enjoy you all. Can't wait for RisenShine Convention in Toronto 2016. Especially looking forward to meeting you and the entire cast at the meet and greet at the host hotel on Saturday night.
