Thank you for posting this! You just transported me back 40 years ago when he looked into my 18 year old eyes and sang the entire song "If Ever I Would Leave You". My friends told me I was googly-eyed all night. To this day they still make fun of me! But I don't care. I will always remember that night and that song! He was so dreamy and handsome...I feel like I'm going to cry now!

What incredible chances Goulet takes when he looks directly into the eyes of the ladies (and a few guys) he is singing too. You have to have a lot of confidence - and a lot of sincerity and natural warmth to accomplish what he does in this extended medley. I love the way he winds the medley up with a very direct, passionate performance of Night and Day. Can you imagine having to pull this number off at every performance. I hope he was blessed with good audiences for the entire engagement! Once again, Goulet is the teacher.

I have had a lot of fun playing music at weddings, and many parties in Las Vegas, but the most memorable was the party that Robert Goulet's wife had with us playing background music for her luncheon for her favorite friends in 2008.
