I love the character of Robert! First of all, obviously, he is so god damn perfect and beautiful. But also, is so misterious cause we don't know much about him yet, and he brings it more drama to the show, scandal and that makes it more fun and interesting. 👍

Nobody's bothered to ask him what the island was like, if he's suffering with any ptsd from being brought down. He's just getting abuse from Liam and everyone expecting him to just be the family leader again. I know he has a dark streak to him but I love that. People are so upset he played a part in breaking up 'Jaspenor' that they think he's a bad person. Or because Liam is no longer centre stage and he's upset because Robert has 'his girl'. But Robert was only doing whatever he could to protect the sister he loves deeply. And he never stole anything from Liam! The crown was rightfully his in the first place and he met Kathryn first! And the way Liam's been treating him- honestly, if that were my brother, I would find it disgusting!

I think he meant it in a good way for his family, he has to take care of the royal family's image now, which is not easy task as we've already seen. I think he's torn about Jaspenor, cuz he asked Eleanor if there was a chance he hadn't get the letter. I ship Robert and Willow, hope they get married, I think she could bring the best out of him and make him even stronger and she would make a good queen, much better than Kathryn. I understand about Liam and Cyrus, since Robert came back they were nothing but insupportive and a difficulty. Not just about Kathryn, but mainly how Liam behaved, that would hurt any sibling. The more I rewatch The Royals, the more I give credit to Robert, it just shows he's a human, I don't think he means it in a bad way. But his father haunts him about the king idea. But in reality, I don't think there's any parent who would say to a kid 'you're not good enough'. I still think Robert makes a better king than Liam. I can't wait for another season for Robert taking charge. Max is a really great actor. They really know how to do the casting. Anyway, sorry for a long comment, amazing video with the perspective of someone who sees the character far more complex, thnx for showing Robert like this!

Great video that struck me emotionally! The Robert character has always been far more complex than what others considered him! He's not perfect, his armor is not shining but it is a man who has suffered and He struggled, who have been taught that he should make sacrifices for his country and then give him no chance and was sidelined! because it would have to return? for what? and then he finds out that the woman he loved loved his brother! robert is not perfect but it is not the monster that now all consider it and has not taken anything to liam..liam became a copy of cyrus, how sad

tisifone21 I agree 100 percent. Liam still felt like he was entitled to the crown even after Robert came back and has done everything he can to prove Robert to be a coward etc. We don't know everything about what happened before the accident and on the island. I think we will find out more in season 4. Max Brown is incredible as Robert and had definitely become my favorite

You know, I do know that I am fed up with how Robert is supposedly a bad guy. He broke up a bad relationship his sister was in and Liam was out of line so many times. As for Helena, she has to stop her own running amok and making one mess after another. Robert has to be a king before anything else.

They really messed up his story line. At first it seemed that he didn't come home because he wanted to escape from all the pressures of being the future king. When he got home, he was initially protective of his immediate family. Then he suddenly became a power-obsessed tyrant wannabe? What happened in between? There wasn't enough character development for him. Sad it will always be the case now that the show's cancelled.

well go watch a King Liam video, I find Liam the worst kind of hypocrite, pretending to be all righteous and sleeping with his dead brother's girlfriend, yeah there's decency NOT. He's as bad as Robert, at least Robert owns it.
