Loved the show then with them . why would directors put people through that? No wonder he had a heart attack!

One of the greatest shows of all-time. As much as I loved Ward Bond, and his Republican politics, I like John McIntire, even more, who I would bet money was also a Republican in real life. My absolute favorite episode of this series is "The Christopher Hale Story", where McIntire officially took over as the new Wagon Master.
