Robert Lamm s voice is as great as it was in 1970 as it is now. He is so amazing and he still looks good too. I played Beginnings I know a 1000 times back in the 70s. I still enjoy all the KZbin videos. Great memories the 70s.

I'm his fan since 1969. saw him with Chicago in Amsterdam..He is the only one left in the band, I love to see together with Jimmy Pankow (trombone) and Lee Loughnane (trumpet) ..

He was smart to sing in his normal voice range. Now 25 years later he still sounds great. Peter Satera (and many others) on the other hand, that sang in those ridiculously high notes can't hit them anymore.

Robert Lamm was amazing. Besides Terry Kath, Robert Lamm was Chicago. After Terry died, it was never the same. And Peter went soft commercial pop which I never understood and never enjoyed.
@BamaRailfan

Old comment I know but felt it was worth replying to. I believe Peter's decision to take the band in that direction was a part of the times. Look at where the Doobie Brothers went when Michael McDonald took over. Blood Sweat and Tears..well we know what happened there. Earth Wind and Fire.. The list goes on. Terry's passing happened at a time when the landscape of this type of music was undergoing a transition and change was inevitable in order to survive as a group. With disco hitting the scene and the slow ballads achieving popularity, Peter did what he thought was necessary to keep some of the old Chicago feel but with a vibe that fit into the more modern era. It worked, too. Chicago went on to have many top 10 songs well into the Era. Hard to say I'm sorry/Get away is a great example of this.

I saw Chicago in the 2000's and they sounded nothing like this. They were so bad that people were walking out when they came on stage. This guy I don't know if he's a new singer for Chicago sounds amazing and great. The band sounds great. The guy who was lead at this time was so bad with the vocals it sounded like a cover band.

What happened to his vibrato or lack there of. He's singing this so straight, I get that he doesn't want to sound like a lounge singer but come on, he used to sing so much better. ;/
