I interviewed him in 2004. He is a real class act and not presumptive at all. I felt like I was chatting with an old friend.

Robert is the man! One of the best songwriters in Pop Music and an awsome vocalist! But check on Terry Kath playin bass on this album - better than most of the bass players at that time - Terry was a true musican - he sung like no one else - played guitar like no one else and even bass - Terry your missed forever!

Nice job, Talibeltori! Thanks for this sampler of some of the Lamm music I haven't heard. Like so many others, i grew up inspired and starry-eyed over Chicago. In my career as a musician and my calling as a pastor, God has used Chicago's music to help me see life as art. Can't imagine a world without this music.... thanks for the fancy colors...

Hell, he wrote half of Chicago's recorded songs. That's just phemomenally prolific, and he's always put on great shows which I went to.

hooey brown - u r right! There would be no Chi without Mr Lamm. He put them on the Macao, wrote almost all of CTA and V, and lion's share of everything up to X. Subtlety & Passion is a great LP, reminiscent of 70s Chi

Handsome guy, lots of dodgy hairstyles over the years, yet a real intelligent charm in interviews that comes through his warm voice in his music, but for me as much as love him as a solo artist he never reached the heights of his early songwriting efforts with Chicago, although i thought some of his songs on the NOW Chicago album a few years ago were terrifically good and it should have been a greater success.
