I love Robert Mirabal! He is one of the few representatives of the Navajo Nation and the Pueblo Natives in the State of New Mexico that i grew up with all my life(besides living in NYC). He's one of my favorites and will continue to be. This song is fantastic and beautiful.

When I was 13 yrs old I read a book on Cochise. I cried a lot. I knew that my spirit was Indian. Over the years I found out my spirit was also African, Latino and Asian and one with all who have been oppressed in many forms. I believe I heard God call me Eddie All Spirits a couple years ago. I know it is who I am, but obviously I do not go running around telling people this, because my flesh is Caucasian (German Polish, Irish) to be exact. So you know what I'm saying lol! God gifted me with The Dance back in the 90's. Someone called it spirit dancing, cause I know Jesus. I guess it is. But the Great Spirit is one to me with all versions of who people think God is. The Dance has been one of my greatest gifts of love to God, to people and to myself. This video made my cry and I am crying again now. I am Eddie All Spirits and I dance The Dance of my Indigenous peoples and the people of the earth. I dance the dance of the Almighty and I dance the dance of the depraved, I am an expression of the human experiment that seems to fail but then just keeps on dancing!!! AAAAY YAH AAAAAAY YAH!!

I am from Taos, and I have mad respect for him and his band. It speaks to the human soul on a primal level. I am not Native, I think we have some native in my family somewhere, but I don't claim it because I feel that is disrespectful, but, I cannot help but love this music. I own two or three CDs and I have to be alone when I listen to it. It pulls at me.

When I taught Native American courses at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL., we invited Robert and his troupe to perform and visited our campus twice. Needless to say both performances were full houses. When I asked if I could bring a class to visit him on his rez he graciously invited us to camp out on his property. A good human being with a BIG heart. Many thanks.
