If Robert Morris repented for this sin years ago and have not fallen back into this specific sin then why is his repentance not good enough for the Christian? The same God that forgave and continually forgives our sin is the same God who forgave RM. This lady Cindy, said in a previous interview that RM "will do it again." How does she know? She's not God. If we confess out sins God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, according to the Bible. I was well aware of the inappropriate behavior he was displaying. We had 3 interim teachers at our school, fresh out of teacher's college. Two women and one guy (23) and some of the school girls were crushing on him badly. They would write smutty Harlequin letters about scenarios with him. I personally heard him, during a sermon, watching by TV, and he flat out said that a wonderful family had allowed he, Debbie and their first born son, move in with them while he was a young struggling Pastor. He said he had an inappropriate sexual relationship with this man's daughter. He said he repented...to God, the gracious father who opened up his home to them and to his wife, Debbie. He was talking about God's forgiveness and mercy because he dealt with a spirit of lust. He did not say it was a 12 year old child. He did not say he repented to HER but he did say it took him several years to stop even thinking these immoral thoughts. He said he went to the elders before he spoke in the pulpit about it and got their approval. However he did say the SPIRIT OF JEZABEL could also operate in a MAN. HE, also bought up the story of King David and Bethsheba. He did not say the age of "the girl ", (the child). I, along with other viewers thought the girl was later in teens. He said he was 20 or 21 years old but I'm almost sure he said anoyher thing about this situation but refuse to say ANYTHING I DO NOT REMEMBER him saying POSITIVELY. As I stated, he was preaching on forgiveness by God. I feel so sorry for Cindy, Debbie and the children and families on both sides. I also had a really "odd" feeling several weeks ago when he spoke on the Fear of the Lord, stating that He learned not to Fear the Lord if he was living righteously and obediently and Walking with the LORD DAILY. Then he said, "Do you know what MY BIGGEST FEAR IS?? MY BIGGEST FEAR IS THAT DEBBIE will leave me!! ? I got the strangest feeling and looking back, perhaps it was the Holy Spirit. There was something when he said that, that made me feel strange ( and yes, suspicious. ) i have stated here ONLY WHAT I HEARD HIM SPEAK FROM THE PULPIT ON TV, WE ITH MY OWN EARS. I'M sure Debbie is undone by what is happening, but she KNEW HOW OLD THE GIRL WAS. SHE WAS LIVING THERE TOO. WERE things brewing several months ago to make Robert say his biggest FEAR was Debbie leaving him?? Can anyone get any insight from this and comment...DID YOU HEAR THESE 2 SERMONS? I KNOW IF YOU ATTEND GATEWAY on a weekly basis, you heard EXACTLY what I heard and WHAT is wrong with my discernment that I didnt pick up on more. I broke my back last year and since v then have been falling and fracturing my feet since then. Please help me to understand why I missed this. I can't wait to heal up and get back in church. I made a comment earlier and a person called Cross-stitch commented and I did comment back however I do not see it. Let me explain what I said and why and I still stand by my previous come as to why this lady is just now bringing this up at her age. And before you start jumping the gun on my reasoning you should at least hear me out. I've grown up in church just like her. I suffered from sexual abuse since the same age. Not the same circumstances with it being church but it was definitely by a professing Christian. I was also married 15 yrs to a man that verbally, physically, mentally and psychologically abused me. I'm 58 yo now and I am an overcomer. That's not bragging that's praising God for His kindness, mercy and grace. He gave me early on the ability to forgive others and I am grateful for this. Being in the church it simply doesn't equate in my head, heart, soul or discernment how after all this time... And a child of God... Why forgiveness is not a part of this lady's walk? I didn't say forgetfulness. That's a very hard point to get to. Whether Robert Morris repented to her or the way that she deems appropriate or not. That's on him. Although I think he should. You can't live your life waiting for apologies or repentance or people to get fired for you to get on with your life. I went to therapy as well. It takes years for some people. And yes, even up to 54, as I have been schooled by someone. You would think the community of faith would have helped her. IMO. Did her parents or didn't they basically agree to let it go? That's when the police should have been involved. That's when the church couldn't have swept it under the rug. That's when a bitter yet healing explosion could have begun. EVERYONE swept it under the rug. Families of faith what have you done?!?! What everyone at that time was doing!!! Fast forward to COVID... I remember when we back at church Robert Morris had a special Repentance show. It was overwhelming positive and highly commendable by a huge audience and so many people repenting. A lot of popular people were there. No one else but God knows whether he repented or not. It would have been the most oppurtune time. At this time bringing this up is only going to bring heartache to All the families involved. If I didn't feel like even more suffering wouldn't come upon her I wouldn't be praying for her now. Every once in a while we should take stock of ourselves and with kindness but firmness remove anything that is destructive, unproductive, and not benefitting to us. Prayfully doing so. Sweeping that all away and trusting God with your life to rule and reign in it. Otherwise I cannot help but hope and pray for her a brighter future but feel remorseful for her lost years and the destruction that has lied and will continue in her wake. Peace and Blessings to All 🙏🙏🙏

John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Jesus is saying "I AM the truth" It's never too late for the truth to come out. Robert, his wife and the church buried it for many years. Cindy has tried for years to bring the truth to the light. The Bible speaks of the darkness coming to the light in many scriptures. But again after seeing her interview with Allen Paar, things came out that have to question this woman's accountability. What is it that she wants, you must ask yourself that. And I will not answer anymore replies. This in itself should have not directed the course of her life. We should all at some point take stock of our lives and with kindness but firmness remove all that is unproductive, unhelpful and not worthy. Sweeping it all away and lifting it up to our Father. Letting Him resign and reign in you. Leaving nothing behind. He is who washes us clean and births forgiveness in us. This is my third comment so I will not be responding to anymore that try to get me to understand anything other than what I already do. If there isn't room at the foot of the cross for victims and predators alike, is it the Gospel we are truly practicing? I have followed Morris' ministry for years. He was not as forthright about his past as he should have been, but if this event had happened in Jesus day, would Saul/Paul have been able to minister as he did? Would we have allowed his writings to be part of the New Testament? Isn't the root of the Gospel that we can be raised to newness of life? This is indeed a weighty issue and it is only right, to me, that it is again being brought up in the church, but I feel that Morris' failings have more to do with the aftermath of the sexual sin and how he didn't deal as honestly as he should have with the confession part of his transgression than the sexual sin itself. I could be wrong, but if he was truly able to pull himself out of that pit, which other ministers in the faith only move on to new ground, then don't we owe him the grace God would give him? The grace that we all want in life? I know for some it seems that line of defense is making me a pedophile supporter, but I was involved in a similar incident when I was around the same age as Cindy Clemishire. It was anything, but easy to deal with and my parents failed me, too, IMO. I just always wanted for the man involved to have a real moment of repentance and change and hopefully come to me to ask forgiveness. That never happened and he died without my ever knowing if he ever felt sorry for what he did. Also, to me, it seems that Robert Morris was only 20 years old at the time. That is hardly an adult. IMO. Should he have known better? Absolutely. And there is no excuse for sin and this type of sin is abhorrent, but I still think that we are failing to truly look justly at both sides of this issue. The example was used of King David, who was a whole lot older when he fell, but he didn't lose his position as king. So is this really the best example?

Where is your hostility towards that foulness! Even prisoners have a moral compass against men like that ,it’s a shame when believers don’t seem to🤯

@@arod1pilot What a sick comment. She was offered money but she would not sign an NDA. Numbers 32:23 Be sure your sin will find your out.

@arod1pilot not possible. Financially can't have any money come her way due to the period of time since the crime has committed.

Mine either - the woman is vengeful and vindictive.

I don't understand this. When a fellow brother is in peril, their Christian brothers just abandoned him. No council, no words of encouragement; just complete excommunication, this is not the way how Jesus would handle any situation. Jesus taught us to have mercy towards each other and forgiveness.

Remind Robert Morris of the good he has done and people who came to Jesus Christ because of him also

Maybe we should also remind Robert of the childhood he destroyed. He sentenced Cindy to a life of emotional pain, shame and fear. Not to mention criticism and contempt from some in the Christian community even now.

@@KansasMiss-mf4bjHe had every opportunity to make amends. He was too prideful and greedy. I can't feel sorry for him or his deceitful church that buried this. Shame on his defenders! Shame on his "Pastor" wife who helped him further victimize Cindy.

The church failed hiding the sin instead of bringing to light So sad 😞 it’s a crime The church has to take a stand !

I agree....we're living in a time where grace is not balanced with justice. The fear (awe, respect) of the Lord is not present. We're not reading our Bibles enough directly, but instead listening to Christian leaders & authors give us a very watered down version of His Word. The church is in trouble, I think, because of it❤❤❤

I understand this….This was a mistake that he made was 42 years ago, so he had to come out of the pulpit! He is a sinner just like everyone is…so no one should work bc they made a mistake? This is a bit much! I was also abused as a young person and that person was in my church as a parishioner. He has been dead, for 15 years & never was called down for it. I just know how it feels!
