Hi Charlie, I had no idea you ever messed with slide. Nighthawk happens to be my favorite blues guitarist. btw, I have one of those Danelectro miniamps you're shown using. I am now inspired to play Nighthawk style slide on pedal steel. Years ago, I tried your harp course. I got nowhere fast. Long story short: I've lost track of you and am delighted to have found you here. Hoping to see more Musselwhite youtube clips. Take care.

thanks, charlie. the last three days i've been listening to that double disc "and this is maxwell street", that has all that great robert nighthawk on it. trying to learn from the master…and boom!!, you go and post this. are you playing in standard tuning? i've been playing in open tuning.

Claude Smith Yes, I'm playing in Standard or Natural tuning. Most slide players prefer open tuning.
