I remember staying up late on night in 1987 to watch the Island Records 25th anniversary concert and was hypnotised by this timeless classic by Robert Palmer .......Several centuries later, I am still in awe of its rhythm and melody.Vale Robert Palmer

If you look back on Mr. Palmer's career you see that his talent branches out to several levels. He could sing and perform in many styles, as well as developing his own. Let's play a little "what if?" Pick a song - for instance, like Elvis performing Joe Walsh's "Rocky Mountain Way." Never happened, but you can imagine it. Like that. What song can you imagine a living Robert Palmer performing. . . ? I'm thinking Junip's "In the Line of Fire." Hmmm? What can the rest of you imagine?

TheCarablanco Mr. Palmer sang part of Like A Rolling Stone during a performance at Wembly in 1997. The other two singers were Seal and Jon Bon Jovi. I would love to hear him do the entire song. His part was unbelievably good. He also did A Long and Winding Road by the Beatles and I think it is better than the original. I would love to hear Mr. Palmer sing any other Beatles song... I’m not picky!

hermitmcdermitt999 He is singing the third verse in French. He does a duet of Johnny and Mary with the French singer Marie Leonor. There are two videos of it on KZbin. The one on the balcony is just one of my many favorites.
