Robert Palmer totally appreciated and understood Lowell George. Another of Lowell's "cracked mosaic" masterpieces, masterfully done by a legendary singer.

Robert alway,s used to acknowledge his band & backing singers, a really nice trait of a true gent!! Very attractive man, & true to his style of singing...such a loss and a Brit too...

One of my big musical regrets - not seeing robert live. Always loved his music and authenticity. This is a great example of that.

Palmer slays the vocals on this tune. Stripped down to just vocal and piano really suits it.

If it's fix a fence, Fender dents, I've got lots of experience. Rent gets spent, and all the letters, Never written, that I don't get sent. It comes from confusion; All the things I left undone. It comes from moment to moment, day to day, and time seems to slip away. But I got twenty million things to do, twenty million things. All I can think about is you. With twenty million things, twenty million things to do. I got mysterious wysterias, hanging in the air. The rocking chair I supposed to fix, well it came undid. And the things that I let slip, I found out quick: Comes from moment to moment, day to day, and time seems to slip away. But I got twenty million things to do, twenty million things. All I can do, is think about you. With twenty million, twenty million things to do...

David Grant, He was part of Roberts backing singers on the Rhythm & Blues album, sadly they never got to tour. David also had success on his own and part of a Duet with Jackie Graham and with his band Linx.

The late Lowell George of Little Feat was the writer. Nice piano here by Jools.
