Robert Pattinson stopped by the Variety studio to talk about “The Lighthouse,” his character's glorious mustache and spending a day singing sea shanties with co-star Willem Dafoe. He plays a junior lighthouse keeper in the 19th Century under the tutelage of Dafoe’s character who begins to grapple with his own sanity.

I know there are a lot of American Accents that can be difficult to pull off, especially when you're raised in England. I have to say Pattison's Boston accent was utterly fantastic, especially since it was an 1890's Boston accent. Dude did a great job acting but his accent work I was very impressed with.

Robert should be extremely proud of his performance in this movie. For me putting Pattionson and Dafoe together turned out gold. This movie is one of my favorites. Only seen it once but the same was with The Immigrants and The New Land. Only saw them once until I made it a thing to see those movies once a year near christmas. Going to do the same with The Lighthouse. It's so good, it's a once a year kinda movie.
