WOW!! That brought tears to my eye. He sounded the same as when it was 1st. Released in 82. I bought the album when it 1st. Hit the shelves. Love you Mr. Plant🤗

His vocals still sound the same and great, even as a older guy. Very satisfying

Agreed. Key has been lowered (a half-step from what I can tell), but there is a HUGE misconception about key changes. Voices drop/change. Most people don’t even hear it and his tone is magnificent and soulful here.

Interesting twist. Makes you realize how good the guitar player on the original is. This was nice and I'm not nit picking but the guitarist here took the easy way out on a couple of the sections.

Totally missed out on the opening guitar riffs. Totally sets the mood of the song and he didn't play it. Plus LP's just don't get that strat sound. Oh well....Robert sounds great though!

Holy mixed feelings, Batman! I'm late to this party, but I have been playing instruments for over 40 years, and this is simply my opinion--of which I am an expert at!! So, first thoughts - to the people dissing Plant's voice...you're wrong. As someone already mentioned, he sounds very similar to how to always has. This is a live environment and you don't know how many shows he's done prior to this (e.g. did he play last night, etc.). Give him a break, he does a great job and we are listening to someone's post from a cell phone. Unmixed and unedited. The band...the bass player seems to be directing the drummer. But we don't really know the context. Is this a song they threw in at the last minute? We don't know. Either way, the drummer wasn't the weakest link in this whole thing. The biggest deficiency IMO is the guitar player. He's good but didn't play a lot of the subtleties that Robbie Blunt did on the original. Final thoughts - They did a good job if this were a 'last minute' song. They didn't do the song justice if it was another song in the set. Plant is awesome; his worst night is better than most other singers' best. The band sounded good as heard via 5 YO cell phone. People need to chill a bit. If you like it, great. If you don't, that's OK too, but don't be rude about it or suggest he retire because you happened to not enjoy it, because a lot of other people did.

They're playing this in Gm, the record is Am, that may cause it to sound slightly different.

is it me or even while this renditions enjoyable, doing it without robbie blunt is almost akin to doing it without plant? seriously it sounds as if three quarters of its magic arent there. im all about new things coming up but its obvious they too have to face the audience and not to expect being praised because they re playing amongst legends, kinda the thing thats going on with filipino journey singer, a hugely talented bloke, but like on this case, they all just dont bring the juice. is it me or talent has been elevated without the inspiration it could have to sound not forgettable, therefore all we have to listen is mere talent? reducing this deeply atmospheric and passionate piece to an a kinda single version but live, man, loved the key shuffles but towards the end i wasnt happy after listening, and it isnt plants old vocals fault. not saying it must sound kinda 80s but c mon. robbie blunts absence on this one sounds like box of chocolate without the chocolate.
