Funny that you mentioned the “cloning” lol. I found this link by googling “Robert Plant Cloned”. I’m rather obsessed with comparing images from youth forward. His slender more pointed nose, has changed to have a ball on the tip. Other feature changes as well; that’s hit me searching images. 😁

This is what happened! “I did an interview with Robert Plant once. I’m a huge Led Zeppelin fan; I still consider them to be the greatest rock band of all time. We were seated right next to each other on little bar stools, and the lighting was very stark. It was very intimate - our legs kept touching - and he flirted shamelessly with me. I held it together - I did a good interview with him - but I was smitten, just smitten with the man. After the interview, Robert said, ‘My manager and I are going to a comedy show tonight, would you like to join us?’ And I said, ‘Oh sure, I’ll go,’ as calmly as I could. So I got myself together and went to the comedy club, and there he was, as advertised, sitting at a table. I took a deep breath, walked over to his table, and said, ‘Hello, Robert, how are you?’ And he’s like, ‘I’m sorry, dear, who are you?’ That was a huge blow to my ego. But it was also a valuable lesson: These guys know just how to charm the hell out of a naive young journalist.” -

Beautiful soul, in the moment, positive, funny, suave and wise beyond measure. In Montréal CHOM FM was the radio station for music lovers back in the day. Well said to leave the memory of Zep intact. I enjoy the fact that he mentioned Pat Benatar, Heart and The Bangles. He actually mentions female rock artists! Morocco is truly a magical place where French and Spanish are widely spoken. I like the title "Summer of Love " for the vinyl better. Always telling it like it is and diplomatic "I can't remember"....even admired Prince. When asked what comes to mind with Zep no mention of Jimmy and Bonzo? All in all an A+ interview!

Hate to tell ya this, but I’m a mega LZ fan and have been for over 30 years, and there is nothing wrong with David Coverdale. He’s a decent guy and he also had a much stronger voice that Plant did after he blew out his vocal chords by not taking care of his voice. That Coverdale/Page album is fantastic. Robert had a hard time singing during and after 1975. Some LZ bootlegged shows are literally cringe-worthy because his voice was so bad-it was the other three musicians that carried him all those years. Page did it right by collaborating with Coverdale. Plant has a terrible ego, and can’t handle competition - or what HE sees as competition. He behaved like a child during that time. By the way, Coverdale was not trying to copy Plant’s voice at all. He really has his own and he used it on the Coverdale/Page album. Sounded nothing at all like Robert.

It’s called jealous girl syndrome. Coverdale always responded with class until he had enough and basically called plant a plagiarizing pansy and kind of said Jimmy Page made him.

@@bowie4ever824 think he meant Zeppelin plagiarized because they did but? They're still lovely. I have to admit I love robert being a bit rude about David. Think his feelings were truly hurt that Page worked with him. I don't know if they ever met when he was in Zeppelin David was in Deep Purple ... hmm
