From that first segment, it reminds me of my having moved to a new city after I had lived outside the country for a few years. I didn’t really feel close to my family anymore and was looking for something else. I went to a church that was a lot more about singing and excitement And what seems like a lot more warmth to me. A service was held in a big convention hall for Easter and I invited my parents to come. My mother did her best to at least stay in observe but my father got up and walked out. I felt like they had imposed their religion on me for most of my life and they should be willing to see what was important to me. My father had been a convert so it probably shook him up even more because willing converts are often even more and trenched than those who are raised without really choosing. I appreciate it a lot my mother‘s, desire to accept me, but I never really felt that they understood me. But I have accepted now that it’s part of my spiritual quest to accept them as they were.

Robert is my sis, the middle child, ignored, overlooked and grew up in my shadow, even tho I was younger. It's strange but sad how our parents brainwash us into thinking favouritism is ok, and we the favoured soon expectvit as our right, even into our late teens. She couldn't wait to get out and have a family of her own that she ruled with an iron fist. Despite her in-laws disliking her for the way she terrorized their son and grandkids, she treated them better than her own parents. She was never abused in any way, physically mentally or verbally, but all those years of internalising her anger rather than speaking up, even to me, changed her life forever as she could never let it go. I'm aware this is supposed to be a comedy, but I'm aure there are lots of Roberts out there like my sis, and successful Rays like me, conditioned from birth to be confident fearless and successful.
