I got really strange reactions when I was in high school, because I went to HS in Colorado... but I did first grade in Queens, so I had much more vivid and Bad memories of 9/11 than any of my CO classmates, so when it came up (talking about the difference between secondary and primary sources), my response was a bit less "heard about it on the news" and a bit more "look across the river."

My fav episode of kidnation was the one where there was something they really needed (I think it was freeze proof water pumps cause their pumps kept freezing overnight). They lost the challenge and, therefore, just didn't get anything... It's an unhinged show, and some of the kids have since done interviews.
