I'm not big in the competition shootin comunnity really would like to get into it. Is this statement true? Or just a big fan? I love Vogel cause I wanna shoot glock competitively and hes really good while everyone i meet tells me it's pointless to use glock.

@@CHEECHMUN Jerry is too old to compete now, though when he was young he was extremely dominant in multiple shooting sports.

There's many great shooters, but also many disciplines, no it's hard to compare them directly. Bob is definitely one of the best, but Thera are others as good as him

There's plenty of good shooters, I wouldn't say the "best" he's on top of the food chain but you can't discount Eric Graufel, Rob Leatham, JJ, and the list goes on.. Each one has its own skill, specialty, etc.

Dudes get in the comment section and just can't be humble and SHUT the FUCK up about their 2 fucking cents that NO ONE FUCKING CARES about! Man, I signed up to your channel 3 days ago and I've learned so much more then in 100+ past videos I've seen before. I'm stoked and thankful.

The best scoring system, no one uses. Chapman count. Targets are scored 10-8-5. Time is subtracted from the points. Whoever shoots the most accurately, the fastest wins. As it should be.

We run USPSA rules with half penalty IDPA scoring (-0, -0.5, -1.5) at some local matches and it seems to be a very nice balance of speed and accuracy for practical skill development.

That’s the old IDPA scoring system and in my opinion, was much better. I wish they would go back to it. Take a bill drill for instance. If I do it in 2.75s (1.5 draw from concealment, 25 splits) and score a close -1, now my “score” is almost 4 seconds! But in the old way it would be 3.25, which is a pretty decent Bill drill from concealment. With the new scoring, I could literally shoot 45 splits to each shot and if I didn’t score the -1, I would still be coming out ahead (3.55 final score). There’s a huge skill difference between shooting 25 splits and 45 splits!! Think about that for a second! In this case, I’d say the faster shooter is actually better.

There certainly is an epidemic of accuracy only focused shooting. Countless posts online concern "good groupings" yet frequently have no mention to the time and conditions those groups took to achieve (and sometimes even the distance isn't provided). Cool you got a 2in group at 100yds with your rifle using a benchrest and taking 5-20 seconds per shot. If your goal is to be a benchest competitor, awesome. But if you're trying to be a better self-defender or hunter, time and being able to shoot unsupported is also essential.

3 cans, shoot all 3 untill you dont miss then speed it up, the heat as a vital organ is represented by cans meaning if you have a habit of hitting cans then your hitting the heart, center of mass doesnt mean a heart hit, thousands of attackers kept going after center mass hits, you need, hear, head, spine, pelvis

Get your hits in first and then work on your speed. I noticed Mr. Vogel can get hits in at incredible distance with amazing speed. Our club is introducing more hard cover and head shots with no make up shots. That eliminates the speed guys.
