Older viewer, here. I was singing this song when I was in the 1st and 2nd grade. The expression on Roberta's face is like a mother looking at her daughter!!!! WOW. Heaven sent and Heaven blessed both of them. I think Indie did the song justice. If anyone is interested there is also a male singer that didn't do such a bad job on this song, either. His name is Luke Evans. You should check out his video.

Roberta definitely made this song her own, but we should give a nod to the singer/songwriter who created it, Ewan MacColl. He wrote it nearly 20 years before it became Ms. Flack's hit. He wrote for his lover at the time, Peggy Seeger. She later became his wife. He didn't care for any of the covers people created, including Roberta's. I suspect this is because his favorite version is the one the love of his life, Peggy, sang.
