I truly enjoy Rev. Dr. Wright's teachings and am always better fulfilled by it. But I have this to say, "how really do we know that the Bible is legit? Because if you stop and think about it a man named James from England, while King, forced the Church of England to a write a "version" of the Bible for him...." So how really do we know it's legit? Dead Sea Scrolls been added? What about those unnamed books, written by Women Disciples? Those been added in yet? How about those "versions" found out in those buried clay pots and jars from out in the Middle East deserts, are those in yet? I mean maybe ole James the 1st said, "Hey Bishop! Print this. Don't print that. Take that line out. Add this word on the end here and put this sentence down on the end because it sounds better when I read it that way...." How, REALLY, do we know? Thank you.

After listening to this it's clear that he is just plain wrong. He says God is against slavery, and God does not change. Then he quotes scripture that says, "God does not change." See the side step? Jesus approved of slavery, and since his was the word of God (if you believe); slavery must be OK. In the Torah and old Testamen, God was vicious and mean spirited because the people that spoke for him were that way. It's a case of God in the image of the people and not the other way around. Jesus wanted all that changed. So he preached a God of love. That seems like a God that changed his ways, but still believed in slavery. It's in the book.

James Lewis Im sure he was speaking of slaves in American history. Slaves in the Bible were indentured servants. Almost always of the same race as their Owners. Nothing like the chattel slavery practiced here in the Amerikkkas. So they are two very different practices. So for you to say GOD (Spirit) approved of slavery Im sure it wasnt the vicious and inhumane treatment that Blacks experienced here in this country. That is not of GOD.
