So as un update on this, they watched this video and without request, they sent me to another Vault Experience in Dallas, they gave me another Vault, Gene signed it for me. Now I have TWO of them! (no, you can't have the other one, I am keeping them both). THAT is customer service!!!

I went to see Gene and his band at the Surf Ballroom on may 2 18. Drove around 12 hours to go up there. Got 2 nights at the best Hotel I could find there. Once I arrived I went in to register. Some tall guy with a black ponytail was at the counter. I thought it might have been one of the band members. It was Gene. To say the least I was star struck. He was kind enough to talk to me a few minutes and then handed me some taffy and tried to feed me cookies. He was pretty cool and much taller than I expected. Anyway, went to the show and had a blast. A memory I'll keep for life.

Thomas Cunningham It's just money and he has plenty so why not
@RobertMoseley6 жыл бұрын
Well, part of what you are actually paying for is the meet and greet with him, he spends a good 15 minutes with you, he takes photos, signs all your other stuff you bring him, and spends quality time with you. Usually when you go to a met and greet you only get seconds, and I mean second, like less than 10 seconds, the time it takes to pose and take a photo or get an item signed and you are shuffled out like sheep. This guy gives you the goods if you are a fan. I have done 3 different meet and greets with him and each one was genuine. The more expensive it is, the more time you get. So a $1250 M&G with the band KISS won't be but a minute, the VAULT for $2000 will get you about 10 minutes (and of course you get the VAULT) and the $6000 Master Class gets you his signed bass guitar but he spends about 4 - 6 hours with you and there is less than 10 of you. You also leave with his $5K bass and case and a ton of other signed stuff, photos and videos. I mean, I have a video of ME playing bass with Gene Simmons only one foot away from me.... that is priceless.
@thomascunningham29196 жыл бұрын
That's why I said "I know you are happy." I was referring to the quality of the vault, which even with a meet and greet, still should have arrived to you in better condition and I believe contain some rarer stuff. These vault packages are what are paying for the production and delivery of this album package, including Gene's plane tickets etc. With that much money lowering his overhead, a bit more quality could have been reciprocated IMO. I've seen your other videos so I know you are a huge fan (myself included) and I truly believe you love every interaction. I've gotten to meet 4 KISS members myself (5 if you include passing Eric Singer on an escalator going the opposite direction, looking freaked out that I recognized him) so I understand the excitement in the experience.
@RobertMoseley6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I don't care, it's fine. It's a conversation piece, people will see it and ask "What is that?" and very little of the explanation will be about the box itself or what's inside it. The story is about going to Las Vegas and getting it from Gene Simmons, with my friend Vinnie Paul who also got one. That is what makes it cool.
@j_freed6 жыл бұрын

@RobertMoseley6 жыл бұрын
I wasn't ripped off. I bought this vault in Las Vegas, I was presented it to me with my best friend Vinnie Paul by my side. We spent time with Gene, took photos, laughed and he autographed things for me. Then we spent the day listening to him tell stories, sing songs and answering questions. Then I got to take home this super cool big box with an amazing book, 10 CDs and other unique items. I have memories that will last a lifetime! What's that worth? Then, when Gene found out that there was a crack in my box from shipping, he invited me to another Vault Experience, FREE OF CHARGE and he gave me ANOTHER ONE for FREE and let me KEEP this one too! Now I have TWO of them! I also got to spend another day with him, stories, songs and photos. He is such a nice guy! Every time I go on a vacation I spend a minimum of $2000 to do anything. We just went to Gatlinburg TN and went to Dollywood for the day, that whole trip cost me $2,000. Memories and experiences cost money. When we returned from our trip to Tennessee my wife was told her father was in the hospital on life support. We went to see him and we were there when they turned off the machine. Within a few minutes, he took his last breath and he was gone. Lifeless and still, right before us. A week previous he was at my birthday party doing shots and having a blast with us. My point? When your machine is turned off and you take that last breath and your life flashes before your eyes, with the story you watch be amazing or will it be some internet troll who never did anything cool who just shit on other people and regretting his boring life? Think about it dude.

I wonder how they(KISS) are going to do their 'farewell' tour? I know getting Peter and Ace back(mostly Peter as he is the oldest of the original four, probably can't do a full set Every Night(without being pumped full of painkillers). But as a compromise maybe have him and Ace back for a few songs each(say two songs) for each member(old and new) and maybe everyone can have a part in Rock en Roll All Nite(like the Unplugged set). And of course they'd do it in makup(how?). Well, Peter and Ace would of course don their respective attire and makup, Eric(Singer) could honor his predecessors "Eric(Carr)" 'The Fox' and I guess Tommy can don "The Ankh" if Vinnie doesn't want to or can't appear(given the grief I think not).

I did see that. It had fallen inside the door. I removed the wood that was held on with small nail tacks, I re-glued it back in and also reinforced the other one, I put wood glue on the edges and then used my Ryobi tack nail gun to re-install the wood over the door, it is better than new. Then I took a giant wad of bubble wrap and stuff it up inside behind the interior wall to support it and that kinda fixed it. I realized that they built this thing up in layers and you would have to totally disassemble it to really fix it. So this worked well and it will be fine. It's just going to sit on a shelf for the rest of my life until I'm dead.

@RobertMoseley6 жыл бұрын
I don't get how people fail to grasp what it is that you are buying, you are not just buying a box of CDs and books, you are buying a personal experience with Gene Simmons. The only way you can get one of these is to have him hand it to you personally, he signs it, he takes photos with you, he chats with you and gives each person an individual gift so that no two of them are alike. He explains in his promo video, "when I was a kid, there was no way I could meet with Paul McCartney or one of my heroes". So, I like KISS. I just paid $4000 for the meet and greet plus tickets for their Dallas show next year. I have traveled to Las Vegas and Key West to meet him and the band, I paid $6000 to get a personal bass lesson from him as well as getting to keep one of the same Bass guitars that he plays on stage. I make a good living and this is what I like to do for fun. Some people go a on a cruise, or gamble, or buy hookers, or go skydiving... what ever the fuck it is YOU want to do is up to you and your money. I had a fucking blast and I have great memories, great souvenirs and photos, things so amazing that you and 20,000 other people have sat and watched me talk about for an hour. So you go do what YOU want to do and I will go do what I want to do. It's my money and my life.

Ok, let's just hash this out right now. The money paid is for the EXPERIENCE with Gene which have, depending on where you went, included Ace, Peter, Bruce, Vinnie, Eric, Tommy and Paul. I would, as a HUGE fan pay the money if I had it. Alas, I am but a working stiff who has to make sure bills get paid. The Vault itself, yes, you could argue isn't worth the money. That's all well and good. Again, you're paying for the experience which MANY people have done. The lone few of you complaining??? You're still, in a roundabout way, putting money in his pocket. So, there's that.
@RobertMoseley6 жыл бұрын
People spend lots of money to go to shows, go on a cruise, go on vacation, go to fancy dinners, all of it is putting money into someone's pocket.... For about $2500, I went to Las Vegas and spent the day with KISS fans, hung out with Gene Simmons, got photos, videos and left with a giant vault of music, photos and toys and I have something cool to show my friends when they come over. Everyone thinks it's awesome. Hell, while I was in Vegas I bought a solid gold skull ring with diamond eyes for $4000. It's my money, I'll do what I want with it.
