I have heard him sing before and generally not liked him very much- however, this redition is quite nice. I could've hoped for more expression on "questo, questo oh mia povera Lìu" but overall, this was well acted, well sung and very moving, bravo! :)

Charisma is something very important for any performer. No matter how good you can sing, if ppl look at you and dislike you for some reason, no matter how good you are, they will not pay to see you. I might be wrong but this man is so arrogant that we can see it just looking at his face.

I think the same about tempo, and is not Puccini´s stlyle, Alagna is the best liric tenor but he don´t go allways to the best way about repertoire, but Algana is Bravo!!!!!

Nice. Sweet or delicate version. Alagna may be as highly strung as Corelli- that's what we like. Isn't that why non-ballet lovers like myself went to see Nureyev? That trio looked good in tights.

il est un fait certains que roberto alagna A ETE un bon tenor , MAIS comme tu le dis si bien tu ne l as vu qu en dvd c est a dire sans les pauses entre les airs je suppose . ensuite un concert n est pas un ouvrage entier . je te conseille d aller voir le meme air avec giacomo giacomini ou vladimir galouzine par exemple tu comprendras ce que je veux dire question tempo. quand au dvd d alagna j en ai, donc je parle en connaissance de cause .

Est ce que Alagna a une richesse, une puissance de timbre et un souffle comparable à Corelli? Non. Est ce qu'il a la même variété dynamique et technique dans son chant? Non. Est ce qu'il est capable d'incarner Calaf au même niveau que Corelli? Pas davantage. Libre à vous de nier ces évidences si cela vous arrange. Mais suggérer que les deux performances se valent est complètement ridicule. Il y a certaines données objectives que vous ne pouvez nier, que cela vous déplaise ou non.

Pardon, mais les interprétations d'un chanteur qu'on aime ne sont pas les meilleures par définition. Dieu sait si j'admire Corelli, mais force m'est de reconnaître que son Romeo est bien en dessous de celui d'Alagna et ce, pour des raisons évidentes (l'adéquation stylistique, la diction etc..). Certains répertoires conviennent mieux à certains chanteurs qu'à d'autres. Ainsi, pourquoi comparer Corelli à Alagna dans Turandot quand la comparaison n'est de loin pas en faveur de ce dernier?

Cela vaut pour la richesse du timbre, l'amplitude vocale, la longueur de souffle, l'aspect homogène des registres et l'ardeur du phrasé.
