Truly amazing player to watch, he would get a in field single, then steal second and third. Then playing second, would jump 12 feet in the air for a line drive. Best all around player I have ever witnessed

Best Blue Jay ever...Period. Probably the greatest defensive second basemen of all time in MLB and a dynamic bat too...just enjoyed watching him play in "The 6" for those years winning 2 series and I believe the biggest HR in Jays history against Oakland in '92 to make us all believers we could win it all.

@@salvatoreperez5113 Exactly how Ryne or Morgan were better? Alomar has better defensive prowess than both, better offensively than Ryne by a mile and very very similar to Morgan, slightly better in some categories and a little behind on others.

the other day someone says that "sabermetrics discovered that Roberto Alomar was a subpar defensive second basement", and I laught as loud as I could because any baseball fan who watch him play a game knows that he was the best defensive 2B who plays in late 80's and 90s by far. When he went to Cleveland, just to see him and Vizquel make those marvelous plays worth to watch the game of baseball.

Imo the greatest 2nd base i see, power, speed, range, vizquel and Alomar make me want to be a infielder, and train/have fun with groundballs, i also grow with ivan rodriguez and became a catcher, i was good but honestly i always want to be a flashy diver ( also like ken griffey, or ichiro in the outfield) or picking the grounder with the barehand lol i do play ss and 2nd and i did those stuff (obviously not as great as this beasts) so i cant complain But still, damn i feel old.
