very cool, would have been cooler if the mirror had the face of Roberto Bolle as an old decrepit man at the end to show Dorian's fate.

@@thomastereszkiewicz2241 that's an interesting idea but might leave less room for viewers' interpretations. But your idea is still artistic ✨

Did anybody bother to read the book even ? Typical, just slap the title on something. A disgrace to literature. Poor Oscar Wilde. And poor Roberto Bolle for choosing such poorly conceived projects for his talent.

@@palmereldritch7777 thank you for sharing your opinion, sorry that you're disappointed but novels are perceived and interrupted differently by different people, just like many things in life. Also an artist may choose only specific elements of a book when transforming it into a performance because of the performance's limited time, the nature of the show, the stage setting, and other elements of the show. If you look at this positively, it is a nice introduction to the novel for many people who haven't read it or watched the movie.

@@mohannadazzouz Just a question Mohannadouz :(well 2) have you ever read the book yourself?) - and if so, point me to one element that even has the most vague, tenuous connection with the book... There's not even one sentence in the book where he walks around without a shirt.
@mohannadazzouz3 ай бұрын
@palmereldritch7777 no I haven't yet, thought about mentioning that in my initial response but it's kinda irrelevant since again it's about interpretation. Shirtless or not that again falls under interpretation, especially that being shirtless is not foreign to ballet. They could have done Romeo & Juliet as robots and it would still be based/inspired by Romeo & Juliet. If it was a full two hour show titled "The picture" based on the novel then I might be disappointed if the story or the main characters had been changed.
@palmereldritch77773 ай бұрын
@@mohannadazzouz Well, no it's not about interpretation as there is no interpretation in this piece. Much less said about the insult to LGBTQI people of pretending this has anything to do with the works of Osca Wilde in a country and " world-expo" that is : Homosexuality is illegal in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and under the federal criminal provisions, consensual same-sex sexual activity is punishable by imprisonment; extra-marital sexual activity between persons of different sexes is also illegal. Basically this is pure arty pretensions and hypocrisy towards real culture. Oscar Wilde did not serve 2 years in Gaol/jail to be tarnished like this. A gay only fans porn video would be closer to Oscar Wilde than this.

@@mohannadazzouz ...a double saut de basque does not make literature.....at best it was a show off step back in the day.
