Guys this is the best bachata tutorials channel on youtube!!! nobody focus so well on how the follower actually GETS the indication for the following move as you do, also i would love to see a video with some tips on how to start dancing socially without your brain going blank, in other words tips for the transition from lessons to social
@RobertoyMagdalena2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the nice comment! We focus a lot on making the dance as socially as possible, so it is very important to focus on the right leading and following techniques 😊 that’s a great idea! We will try and make a video about it!

My mind is blown!! They do NOT teach this in Sensual classes in London. I've had some teacher refer to breathing in, but only for some moves. This should be taught from the beginners classes because oh my god something is wrong with the scene in London, followers being thrown all over the place with force. It's a mess.

I am a beginner in bachata (half a year) and THIS helped me so much in leading (and in turn making it comfortable for my partner) even basic isolations/waves, and we can enjoy the momentum even more. THANK YOU SO MUCH! ❤❤❤

This is a great tip! I have never noticed this bolero moment as a follower, but maybe that's why it's sometimes hard and sometimes easy to do the waves etc depending on the lead. Thank you!!
@RobertoyMagdalena Жыл бұрын
You’re welcome! This technique is very important to understand the leading correctly without needing to use force and also to do the moves more natural/fluently 😊

Checking back in- I just went to a congress and I did notice some leaders doing this movement prior to initiating a body roll. But not all. I really like how you guys explain in detail the technique behind moves - it's super helpful and makes the dance so much more enjoyable. So many classes and workshops seem to cram in a lot of moves, but not explain the basic techniques. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
@RobertoyMagdalena Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the feedback! Yes sometimes given the time constraint in workshops, the technique explanation is left behind a little bit. We are happy you are starting to notice it and to do it as well! 😊 good technique makes the dance a lot smoother and more enjoyable :)

The “Techniques “ in this video, are actually “methods” in leading a move. It’s not “body movement techniques”. No intention of being rude here, but Would greatly appreciate if you can post some bachata body movement techniques . Thanks

Possibly you limited by chance approaching her, so this is best chance rehearsing for biology lecture. Some things animation does 1:55 - there are times they need an example.

Thank you! One question, do you only use Bolero when switching into or out of Sensual? Or would you do it for any movement that isn't side-to-side basic? For example, would you use it to change from side-to-side basic to box step? Or from side-to-side basic to front-to-back basic?
@RobertoyMagdalena4 ай бұрын
We normally use bolero for almost all of our preparations, this includes the changes in direction of our basic 😊
