The score from this piece can be seen visually, and very vividly here! Anyone who says that Bolero is monotonous and boring has not experienced the nuance of voices being added iteratively to create an amazing finale

I have never liked Bolero and now I know why... because an orchestra can't do it justice. Who knew? it takes a glass harp and a phenomenal talent to properly render it. I felt like I was sitting in a cafe in Istanbul. Bravo!

Wow, absolutely amazing! What a beautiful sound, brilliantly performed and expertly blended together! I cannot imagine the enormous amount of time and effort it must've taken, of not just the numerous hours of practicing, but performing all the many parts and then putting it all together. Well done and Congratulations on an absolutely fantastic performance! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I like how you handled the “impossible” trombone slide at the end, and shifted focus to the visual gag at the same time. Skillful musicianship *and* performance artistry. A wonderful combination! Of course, the whole piece is amazing. Thank you for sharing your work here.

@@roberttiso yes, a nice faux-glissando indeed on the 1st of the 2 notes but i'm wondering about what kind of effect tilting the glass would have on the note as the water shifts in the glass: would you be able to get a true glissando? &, with practice, would it be controllable? also, would it compromise the timbre of the note to have to pick up a glass to tilt it? i assume this'd mean having to have a coupla duplicate glasses set off to the side for the specific notes one wishes to bend...

I have listen to countless versions of bolero and from many different orchestras and with great respect and without wanting to offed anyone, I find this work of yours,so out of this world,so amazing! When I first saw this advert, my thoughts were: "Well...I'll give this a view/listen and then enjoy my favorite 'orchestral' version"! WHO NEEDS AN 'ORCHESTRAL' VERSION AFTER EXPERIENCING THIS???!!! I am in awe, man! YOU ROCK RAVEL!
@christiansaint7165 жыл бұрын
I'll tell you why the orchestral version is better. This is very pretty and all and he is very, very good at this, but he cannot get the different "shades" or tones from the different instruments. That is what this piece was written for. Listen again to the orchestral version and listen for the different instruments. Also, he cannot get it to start out ultra soft and gradually work up to the chaos at the end. Only an orchestra can do this. Other than that, this is as I said, very pretty.
@SordidGuy5 жыл бұрын
@@christiansaint716 I'm quite well aware of everything you stated and much more. I was simply making a comment on the work, difficulty, quality and performance/presentation. Nothing further was intended!!! A comment to an artist needs no analysis!!!
