"No one will be standing that close" is such good advice. I have an awesome aunt who's always preached skin care, taught me about make up, stuff like that. anytime I'd complain about something like blackheads or uneven brows she'd take a close look at my face and declare "you're standing too close to the mirror." Remembering that has definitely helped me remain sane at times.

The amount of times ive seen people do this istg, oval lining for example. If you have a very pronounced cupids bow to me it just looks like you can't do makeup when you oval line, yet so many people say it's the only correct way. It just mkes people insecure for not having the right features :( Its like they assume we all have the same features and it will work the exact same way on everyone, its so annoying.
@standdownrobots_ihaveoldglory Жыл бұрын
@@v.bogdanova5402 I bet your cupid's bow looks fantastic when you let it "shine"! Overlining looks so bizarre on me & tbh, yeah, it looks like 5 yr old doing lippy, and I feel like it was invented by someone jealous that cupid's bows were trendy at some point. I hate the idea that biological features can trend, I've had the same bushy brows all my life, they did not magically change into anything gorgeous, but the same people who "helpfully" bullied me about tweezing and waxing them now compliment me. My thought, if you thought my brows were ugly in 2007, but you admire them now because social media told you to, I do not need you in my life lol ... We are all going to regret this era of makeup once we look back on the bad contour, oily or flat out iridescence being called dewiness (something a living human cannot achieve, if there's dew on your cheek, you're dead or need 911), the white baked under eyes, the overlined lips, and way too much brown powder on people who do not even tan naturally. I love how decorative makeup is, but I am happy with my own techniques and looks. Glad you let your natural features shine, you'll never regret highlighting what you like best about you, or what makes you unique.

I'd much rather pump my foundation onto the *back* of my hand because the back of my hand isn't what I hold things with, lol. I don't necessarily need to go wash off the back of my hand immediately after finishing foundation but if I had it in my palm I'd definitely pause my makeup application to go wash it off to make sure it wouldn't get on other things. If someone is in a pinch and wants a lip scrub ~hack~ they could just put on some chapstick and then gently rub their lips with a wet washcloth. Please don't put coffee on a lime or whatever that person did.

I use a skin tint and a light dusting of powdered foundation. The other day as I went to squeeze out my skin tint too much came out. As to not waste it I put it on the back of my hand. Wasn't sure how it was going to go but it worked just fine. Even though I'm constantly washing my hands there's no way I would put it on the palm of my hand. Just seems too dirty to do, lol. Another thing. If they're doing the palm for the reason Robert stated it really doesn't make any sense. If you look at your palm, no matter your age, there's visible lines there 🤦♀️ TT has become the work of the devil 😂

I learned what I did in high school from my best friend and I used those same "techniques" until a few years ago. The video with the nose contour and the hesitation with all those "No! No! No, no, no!"s going on 😂 Kinda precious, like a puppy 😂 I don't really contour my nose but it has a dent between its middle and its tip that I don't like, so I "hide" that by adding highlighter there to bring it seemingly in line with the rest of my nose ☺️

"Let me tell you why I hate that" - that's when you know it's serious.

Hi Robert! I love watching your reactions to Judy D and so much more. I subscribed to you today because your able to do beautiful work and listening when you talk. Firstly, I love your eyebrow scare which gives you your own facial trademark and makes me really check out what you've done with your eyeshadow. Secondly, I need help in the eyeshadow department. As a teenager in the 70s and 80s, my eyelids were smooth and adding eyeshadow much easier. And no, I'm not talking about the 19th century. Now I'm 59 and living with loose wrinkly skin from my upper lash line to almost under my eyebrow. I have thrown in the towel when it comes to using eyeshadow! I really would like to get back into shadow but you start to apply color and then all of a sudden the spot covered has moved 1/4" in any direction. UGH! Please help us loose eyelid skin ladies learn how to do it! I like the look with the "lid crease" but how does one do it when the crease goes all over the place moving with the wrinkles. And I would also like to try eyeliner with a little wing but as yet it doesn't work well enough to be seen by anyone else. You have so many videos, would you happen to have one for us hooded wrinkly eyes and if so what is the title? I've seen videos for the mature woman but they only use one or two eyeshadow colors and a hint of liner. Is the downfall of getting old using way less makeup!? Thank you for your time!

I always use a black liquid eyeliner to go in between to cover any space.
