Thank you for your content, I appreciate that your sponsored content is a lot more than a '23 infomercial, like so many influencers. I can't afford merit, and it's nice that the products can be highlighted without making the video useless for non-shoppers. I love that I can use your tips with the collection I own. Also, your old tip to lay down a good blendable base of a powder eyeshadow under tricksy formulas. I panned an iconic London shade in a few months, found that Maybelline's mono shade linen is ideal for this (& not much else lol) & blends like a high end one, minus the pigment. Trust me to find the cheapest way to apply your advice (& I had a coupon, so the shadow was $.90!!!)

I just had to share this. A new little bistro opened up next to my apt building. I finally made it there today to try dinner. The server was a lovely young lady of about 25-ish and basically brought me a sampling of their homemade soups. I ended up going with a bowl of their Italian Wedding Soup. I should have known better. Not to sound conceited but I'm Italian-American and make a banging Italian Wedding Soup. I can't take the credit, though. The recipe is my Nonna's and I've yet to find another one that even comes close to hers. Anyhoo, the server *excitedly* asked me how the soup was. I'm one of those people who don't like to hurt people's feelings and will fib a bit/tell a little white lie to avoid hurting one's feelings. I said "The Bruschetta was really good but the soup was...ummm...well..I mean, it's fine. It's fine." She replied "You said that _its fine_ just like Robert Welsh. You probably have no idea who he is." I practically screamed with delight and told her that YES, of course I know who Robert is!! Then we chit-chatted about how much we adore Robert, James and Marcus, whom she didn't even know about. I think she was taken aback that I knew who Robert was because I doubt I'm his "target audience." I'm 54 years old and have been wearing make-up since I was 14 years old. Once I turned 50 I really needed to reassess and revamp the way I wore makeup. For the most part Robert has single-handedly taught me how to wear makeup at my "semi-mature" age. We were talking about how we get a kick out of when Robert says something is *"fine."* Sometimes his _its fine_ means; it's nothing revolutionary but it works. Sometimes it means; there's much better products on the market but this is all I had at the time. Sometimes it means; I really don't care for this but I don't want to hurt the person's feelings. Sometimes it means; it's not for me and I don't like it but you do you. 😁

Lol I love dark blush but it's always a task to get it right. I found some pretty poorly pigmented waxy blush at Dollar Tree, but the shades are bold and I'm super excited because I need a wax or balm layer on my cheeks in the winter anyway. It tells you how challenging these shades are that I'm choosing my Clean Beauty blush (incredible name as there is nothing clean beauty-related going on 😂) over my very lovely stila or Tarte options that do have pigment. I wish drugstore would dupe some Dollar Tree products and make them a bit nicer in formulation.
