I have the original Rien and I love it. It’s very underrated and very divisive. Had a sample of the Intense Incense and have still been on the fence of whether I should pull the trigger on a full bottle or if it’s too redundant. Great first impression as always!

I love reading Fragrantica reviews and there was one that said about the ELDO Rien (not the Intense) --that is smells like the contents of a room that was set on fire, got extinguished with water , and whatever's left was taken outside...so yeah... I've got RIEN and I love the bloody thing ;)

Great Discovery. Etat Libre d'Orange like Comme des Garçons make great artistic perfume. And the price tag is very good. You speak about Comme des Garçons Black, hope you will make a review of this fantastic dark scent.

I also blind bought it, and let me tell you that the first time I smelled it was in the winter, 7-8° C and I didn't like it at first, the aldehydes hit me hard they were the most predominat note on me in the cold weather, it was until the dry down that I start to get it, but it was at the second wear that I fell for it, IMO when this fragrance shines is in the heat, it opens up beautifully, all the notes work better together, I know many will say: your crazy it's a fall winter scent only, but I'm not in this world to please anyone so... When I watched your short video I used it two days in a row, here where I am we're at 32-33° C and it's amazing!!! I'm interested to try the original Rien, my absolute love from ELDO is Jasmin et Cigarette, Rien Incense Intense in second place and then the rest. Still need to try I am trash. As always a pleasure to hear your take on it, thanks for the unboxing Marc!!!

I've wanted to blind buy this for a long time. I was hoping you'd say it's more animalic, but it still sounds good. All my eldos are 50ml and I don't want a 100ml sticking out like a sore thumb. Damn ocd

Yeah I think the cumin, leather and aldehydes are combining to create an accord that many would receive as animalic, especially with some personal chemistry tweaks on skin. I also don't get as animalic an impression, but I can definitely see where many would. I have a bottle, and I am trying to decide if I like it enough and it's unique enough to put it in my winter bin. Even if I don't, ELDO is one of the few houses from whom I will buy anything they put out - it's all art, either for me or someone I know.

You want to know what ELDO Ríen Intense Incense smell like- think of the many night scenes from the movie Girl with the Dragon Tattoo- picture that in your mind as you picture this punk haired skinny hot babe getting off her motorcycle all dressed in black leathers -- that’s what this smells like- think ELDO RI as she rides hard through the industrial part of London ., Sweden ., Germany.., take your pick Oh and remember it’s a dark wet kinda drizzly night Do y’all get the picture This is what this fragrance smells like Cheers., you can thank me later.)
