Yup.. loose clamps, nuts, bolts zip ties etc... are an adventure to find and deal with. My Yamaha Grizzly had loose clamps and a damaged wire harness plug for the fan, cause it to overheat the first day out, my new X3 had loose fasteners and a clamp almost off the intake tube, Buddy of mine had a Suzuki king quad delivered to him with loose wheel nuts.... Always pre-trip the bikes! That's what i've learned at least. Im liking the new HD7 content!

Thanks Man! Ya, same thing on my XMR 850 years ago, stuff was loose but I caught it in time. I even told myself to check this machine out before the ride LOL!

Nice video Rob, the dealerships take almost $500 dollars to do a PDI so what exactly do they do for that money, I’m guessing not much

I don't think they do much either. Thanks John!

Hello again Rob, how are you? I know you said you've had a difficult summer, stay positive and strong alright. I'm still enjoying the content on both your KZbin channels. One question, are you ever afraid of getting lost, given some of these remote places that you travel to and explore? I was still wondering as well where I could purchase those shirts for your two channels? Have a great holiday weekend, and bye for now from Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Thanks Marc! PM me on Facebook, I think I only have one XL shirt left. Haven't gotten any for awhile. I have a GPS with Backroads maps on it so as long as it keeps working we can usually find our way home.

🤣20:00 Not bad 3 out of six made it.. Bad luck with the HD7 ... You shouldn't have to go over every nut and bolt when you get a new bike. ( my opinion)

The frame break was when you had to leave the quad in the bush and return the next day or two? Or was that the rear diff you had to fix?
@vancemarin8022

Or the broken axle or broken rear hub !!

That was on the XMR 850 and I broke the lower A-arm, had to leave it in the bush overnight. Only time it ever left me stranded. Thanks Fred!

Do you have to lube the bushings every ride? I don't know, I've just had Honda and Suzuki. I don't understand why the bushings are different on Cam Am and Polaris and require more maintenance ??? That 700 is a nice looking machine just wondering if it's good quality ?
@RobFarrowATV
@RobFarrowATV Жыл бұрын
The bushings on these machines require very little grease and it's more the bushing itself that takes the wear. They had grease nipples on my old XMR 850 and they didn't work at greasing the bushings. This machine doesn't have any grease nipples. I'm hoping it lasts too, so far it's a great machine. Thanks Man!

What kind of machine is that, that broke the tie rod ? Tie rod should not be too expensive to replace. “ Tips to one’s self, do extensive pretrip inspection, carry some extra parts, and the tools to fix them with “ Been watching your content since the purchase of the new can am outlander, I use to have a 2005 Brute Force too, back in 2005,or 2006 I don’t remember what year I bought it though, I know they had the 06 models out, but the 05 was on sale. What a gas guzzler, but pretty solid machine for me otherwise.

It was a modified Gator. Ya, I used to have an '08 Brute 650, never had an issue with it in the 8 years I had it. This new Outlander is feeling good though! Thanks!
