Thanks again for the plug Rob! So a couple things for you: 1. The shack you stopped at was the former station at Cronyn/MacAskill. I believe it was a tool/shim shed. There was a bench across the back that someone has sadly ripped out. 2. The washout has been there for a few years. The culvert at the bottom is fine, but for some reason the grade has given way, likely because it is all gravel. West of that washout was the station at Hogarth, which had a water tank and a big siding. 3. You missed the 1924 date stamp on the bridge unfortunately. 4. Just east of the bridge when you saw that trail, it leads up to a clearing that was once an emergency airfield that was built in the late 30s. 5. The big open area that had a trail going through it was the ballast pit at McKirdy, which dates back to when the line was built 1911-1914. Just east of there is the station at McKirdy and then is the flag stop at East McKirdy right before the trestle.

@@hollywood5274 You're welcome. It spans Cash Creek and is the second highest structure on the line and cost $112k to construct. I have more info on the site Rob mentioned in the video.

What kind of hand guards are u using ? Also how does that mirror work ?
@RobFarrowATV27 күн бұрын
They are Can Am wrap around guards. The mirror was for when I couldn't tell if the GoPro was on or not. Now I can see the Hero 11 so I really don't need that mirror anymore. Thanks!

We were just in Winnipeg last week, no where to ride there LOL! Northern Manitoba looks a lot like Northwestern Ontario...with smaller trees from what I remember.

Too bad you couldn't see the markings on that rail. It would have told you the weight of the rail. The year of manufacture and manufacturer.

If I had found some dates I would have dragged it home LOL! Thanks!
