That was a sweet penny hunt - and that was a stunner 1945-S! You don't see those pre-50's blazers that often! And you can't get mad at finding a wheatie from the 20's and two from the 30's. Another great video!

Dang, that 45-S was in great shape for being 80 years old. I just recently bought several rolls to expand my wheat cent collection. I currently have a 1929, 1943 steel, 2 1946 (all P's) and a 1951-D. Hopefully get a bunch more years and mints.🤞🏻🤞🏻

@SportzCar Nice. My new rolls should be arriving tomorrow so we'll see what I get. I think it's supposed to be mostly from the 1940's and 1950's with Indian Head enders, though!

And I bought 10 quantity of rolls. And it should arrive by 4 days. Hopefully I’ll get some 1909-1915.. but definitely mostly 1940-50

That '45S is a real gem. Beautiful reverse. The hunt overall had quality. I like the '28. I always get excited when a teens or twenties show up.

I haven't searched penny boxes for sometime now but I was shocked to find a 1909 wheat in a box. Even though it was not one of the VDBs, it was still nice to find a coin that old.

I managed to find a silver war nickel from 1945 P earlier today! It was such a cool find, it even came with two other regular war nickels in the same roll. For the pennies I even found two 1944 S Wheat pennies a 1950 S and a 1951 S Wheat Penny as well. Overall a very nice adventure and finds.

I love that 1945S! Several years ago I found a fully shiny 1926P. That’s the oldest fully shiny one I’ve found. I’ve found partially shiny ones back to 1917P. All 3 of your older ones today were in good shape. 1940S hard to find in east. Tomorrow I’m going wheat penny hunting in Keene, NH, so wish me luck.

@@RobFindsTreasure I have original unopened bank penny rolls from 1960-66. Including D's. Was curious as to their condition, so I opened up a roll. Other than the two enders, these coins are in amazing shape. Some even flawless after examining them under a microscope. Not even black carbon markets. Beautiful red copper tones. Probably 69-70 grades. Your thoughts of how I should move forward with them?

Rob ? How much does a box of zinc pennies weigh and how much does a box of coppers weigh???

Not sure. Most penny boxes weigh 14.5 lbs to 15 lbs. More than that means more copper though.

That looks to be a 1969 with a floating roof error at 5:20 (they can sell for about 1-7 bucks I think) It is also maybe weird to me that you haven’t seen much S Pennies during this hunt. Out of the 20 wheat cents I have, both Denver and Philadelphia mints have been lacking behind San Francisco (that’s a sentence I never knew I would write) I have 9 San Francisco wheaties. 6 wheat Phillies or what ever it’s called and only 5 Denver wheats idk if it’s because I live in Los Angeles California (exactly 334.4 miles away from San Francisco) OR I’m just, Really lucky

Not sure I would do any more trading with someone who feels the need to open up the boxes and check all the enders.
