Great hunt and video, Rob! I was hunting nickels myself because I love coin roll hunting because you never know what you can find. But I couldn't believe what I found, in the 2 boxes I hunted, the key date 50 D nickel! First one ever. What a great hunt that was, Rob! I hunted a fair amount of nickel boxes in the early 2000's. Got decent silver each box and often a buffalo. Anyways I grabbed a box today from my bank. 26 finds including an AU 1938, a nice 1936, no date buffalo, and a 44P & nice 42S. Not a bad box on a random pick up. Its nice living in a small area with people that don't do this kind of thing!

How can you tell if a 1965-1967 coin is an SMS? I have 1965-67 quarters bought as SMS but they don't look much different. A little proof like maybe. I bought the whole 66 and 67 sets to put into albums but have hesitated cracking them open to put them into albums.

It is. It means it’s a more rare nickel. Problem is that it needs to be in great shape to be worth more than a buck or so.
