@dadsnatcher34448 жыл бұрын
The whole purpose of prison sentences like "150" years is to unable him getting out before he dies. The sentence can be shortened by a good lawyer, if it is shortened he still would stay there until death. Sorry for the shit grammer.
@whitewolf86447 жыл бұрын
Frisky Dingo actually i heard that, in old times, if you died before your sentence was up, you would be buried in the prison grounds until your time was up..then family could claim the body and bury it elsewhere. Not sure if they do this anymore or even if it's true to begin with but, I think it's a cool idea lol.
@huniebeee7 жыл бұрын
The reason people end up with 100+ years is because they get (for example) 20 years for each conviction. So, if they commit 5 murders and are convicted, they get 20 years each if that makes sense.

Almost all this story in the video is made up by the author. The real Chikatilo's childhood were more or less "normal" besides he saw German soldiers shooting villagers and fainted. They though he is dead and thrown him into the pit with the bodies. He laid with the corpses for a night and came home by morning. This is the only part, and it wasn't covered in this "documentary". Actually, it seems to me it's about someone else.

@@vladalexeev8529 Agreed Vlad. If a serial killer has a bad childhood it's easy to blame that but, Andre was clearly mentally ill and had unusual sexual desires. You have lots of serial killers that had great childhoods and many people with terribly abusive parents grow up to be relatively normal people. These things are complicated and extreme behavior like Andre's is usually caused by several factors.

Chikatilo and Dahmer were very similar serial killers. Both psychopaths were tall, introverted white males with severe sexual problems that propelled them into murder. Both were cannibals who began killing in 1978 and paused for some years between their first and second murders. Both were in the police's clutches and served short jail sentences only to be released back into the public to kill again. Both were caught in the early 1990s; Chikatilo in 1990 and Dahmer in 1991. Both were convicted in 1992 of all but one of the murders that they confessed to; Chikatilo was charged with 53 murders but was convicted of 52 of them and Dahmer confessed to 17 but was convicted of 16 killings. And both men died in 1994; Chikatilo executed in February and Dahmer was murdered in November. Talk about coincidences.

I got chills when I first read about this guy. Targeting vulnerable children and women, luring them into the woods then murdering and mutilate and bite the bodies so he could get off. I know way to much about this case for my own good, and yet I still was totally engrossed watching Rob talk about it. Even when you know all about whatever he is talking about, he still makes it so interesting.

Hello! I would like to use your video as a reference in my university work profiling Andrei, would you be able to tell me some of the sources you may have used to gather this information? Also, really like your videos, I've watched tonnes of videos but yours are by far the most informative and memorable, very cool

Damn , I have watched all of your serial killer files and I have always been oddly intrigued by what makes them do what they do. Sadly, with my daughter being 13 I am finding that I get bad anxiety attacks from the empathy I feel for the victims and their families. I can't imagine what that must do to a parent to know they weren't there when their child needed them most. I can't believe how much this is affecting me. I guess I'm only human and I should probably be thankful that I have such empathy for them. Thank you Rob for making such great content and a great speaking voice.

Damn, all these brutal serial killers has been bullied, neglected, and/or physically abused by their parents when they were kids. The reason why they become monsters. Except maybe Ted Bundy.
@crazyluigi66648 жыл бұрын
+Forest Stalker In his case, Joseph Stalin actually played a tiny role in this as well...
@vladalexeev85296 жыл бұрын
Except for there's no record about Chikatilo being bullied and the author of this video just made this "fact" and many other "facts" up to give viewers some dramatic backstory. It's bullshit. All this "bullied in school", "trying to rape a girl at age of 15", "viewed sex as disgusting". It's a fantasy of an author. And it doesn't have to do with the real person
@hunteryoho16665 жыл бұрын

Is it just me or don't his victims all resemble his wife. My theory is he was getting off on the idea of killing his wife over and over and the only reason he chose young girls is because he was seen as weak by everyone else.
