One way to prevent lens damage is to keep a UV filter constantly attached. I do this with my other cameras and it works quite well. I imagine that a UV filter doesn't normally interfere with image quality, but if it's undesirable one can simply remove it temporarily.

Yessir I always keep something like that on all my lenses.. probably over protective but it beats something being scratched

On slow mo shots, you can zoom in post since the gimbal makes for very smooth shots. Try it.

Max 1 second exposure? Even my OP1 can do longer exposure. Do you think this could be fixed with a firmware update? Is DJI listening (reading) at all?

All it needs now is 1- a lens that zooms 2- built in storage 64gb 3- changeable battery.

It charges in minutes, sad cards are cheap as chips and you can zoom with your feet. Non of what you want are necessary

Great device. Its Achille's Heel is the lack of any kind of water resistance. With the open sd card slot especially, there's a real risk of damage due to rain or other water. I hope they add some kind of water resistance to the Pocket 4 - maybe that and a 2nd sd card slot for redundancy like modern mirrorless cameras - then it would be perfect for me

Jeg har nettopp mottatt min Pocket 3 etter syv måneders ventetid. Jeg er fra Storbritannia og skal til Budapest neste måned med en vennegjeng fra Tønsberg kameraklubb. Etter å ha lånt en venns lomme 3 for å ta noen opptak av rekonstruksjonen av Gokstadskibbet, har jeg blitt overrasket over kvaliteten og brukervennligheten. Ser virkelig frem til å bruke den i Ungarn. Takk for denne flotte videoen.

Bro, which filters do use? Other folks claim you cannot use same time wide angle filter WITH nd filter as they snap wrongly due to magnetic polarization they are using...

Major con for me is the fixed lens, would love to give up a bit of portability to have a 15-45 lens, I often need to zoom in to not have my shadow in frame or just to not stay too close to the objects. Finger crossed for a "pro" version or for the next.

Any issues with screen flip getting stuck. Only reason for me not to buy one. Waiting for dji action 5 with 1 inch sensor if they launch

I didn't. But I did have a screen frozen on me. Luckily I was next to a Dji store. They literally gave me a new one within 5 mins and send me a report of my old one. Compare to GoPro kept telling me to do updates while nothing is being fixed....

I just bought their care plan. It was pretty cheap for 2 years of fast replacement in case it breaks. So far it’s been solid after 8 months of use, even dropped it a few times 😱

@@SchaufussTV the thing is there is no service center in my country. So I am flying to Bangkok to buy one which is priced less when compared to buying in my country. So if there is an issue I will have to fly to Thailand again.

@@roninr8199 I'm not sure there's a service center in Denmark where I live. As I understand it the DJI Care agreement includes them picking it up via DHP, UPS or similar.

A good summary of the P3 strengths and weaknesses. But I was surprised that you mentioned its zoom feature a couple of times, as someone who uses it and would like to use it more. It is just a crop, the same as if you cropped it at your leisure during editing. In either case it loses image quality. The previous model had a quad beyer sensor and could zoom to almost 2x without losing pixels. But not this one, which has a relatively low total pixel count as you mentioned in the context of photos. My biggest gripe with the camera is that there is no way to maintain full gimbal lock without holding down the joystick, a feature which can sometimes emulate a tripod without the need to carry one. But one man's preferences are not the same as another's!

Recently bought X4 to record my hunting trip but wasn't happy with the output so looking at other options. This camera looks great but lack of weather sealing is big con. Also, the gimble look very fragile. Is there any other camera you can recommend?

I have a pocket 3 BUT the sensor is NOT 1 INCH. It is 13.2mm by 8.8mm, which is 15.86 mm diagonal. DJI will not admit this. Having said that it is an amazing piece of kit, and is still superior to previous versions.

This is because the ‘1 inch’ nomenclature goes back to the days of Cathode ray tubes, and a sensor that would fit inside the one inch diameter of the CRT tube, which clearly is not going to be one inch. It’s a hangover from CRT tech, and whilst not strictly illegal it is misleading, and yes, DJI will not acknowledge this for obvious reasons, but it’s still an amazing camera.

Don't you think goverment would have banned if there was some spy ware? Biggest Spyware are our mobile phones which knows our locations, listens to us etc. So I would say just enjoy the best camera for our needs. Reason I am not getting pocket 3 becuase there is no service center in my country and also screen flip issue

@@roninr8199 I use grapheneOS so no. And it's banned from the play store for that reason and why DJI tells you to download the APK from their website to side load it. Also other apps on my phone aren't sending my personal data to servers in China If you are reading the news congress is trying to ban DJI from the US

tbh both DJI and GoPro have shit apps that I consider both spyware. for now I will use Canon or Sony, those action cameras companies are delusional
