The best drone is the one I can fly today. I have a mini3 pro so I’ll stick with that and my air3. One thing will always be true in technology….if you’re waiting for the next better thing,you’ll always be doing that. …waiting for the next better thing instead of just enjoying what’s available today.

DJI have scheduled an event for 25 Sept and “mini” was teased, so yeah, it’s going to drop. I’ve liquidated my “fleet” this year in anticipation of something new in 2023, this might be it, or I might just go Air3. Time to pull the trigger on something, I’ve been grounded for too long!

Thinking of selling mine, but $400 more? I get that it comes with RC 2 and has upgrades, but a $400 jump is a lot. Usually when I sell my previous model I lose $200 and pay a similar price before. This would cost $600 more after everything, and that’s if it fits in the same case the mini 3 pro fits in. 💩 adds up fast.

DJI has already clarified, that the RC2 is not going to be compatible with older drones (due to OS4) including the Mavic 3 series.

Actual vertical grip is referring to the ability of the camera to rotate to vertical position? I'd speculate that the Cellular dongle has something to do with remote ID capability, but flying it close up with my phone would be cool!

I have a dji mini 3 pro and I've been using it a lot, I absolutely love my dji mini 3 pro! That said, I may consider buying mini 4 pro ONLY if the range is really extended. Can you do a range test when you get the unit please? Thx. Omni directional sensor is definitely a big plus but since I fly high, I usually don't run into any obstacles. 4K at 100 fps is also nice. One downside is the flight time which is shorter! I wonder whether dji mini 4 can use the bigger battery of the DJI Mini 3 pro.

maybe .. just maybe DJI ought to come out with a fix for the Mini 3 Pro Autofocus problems.. after 2 weeks I just returned mine.. called DJI and they said there was no fix.. wanted me to send it in for repair.. a brand new drone.. I don't think so... will wait to see if the Mini 4 Pro has this same autofocus problem as I encountered on the Mini 3 Pro before I reorder.. the only 'fix' was to use Manual Focus set to Infinity which I knew before calling them.. but that doesn't solve the autofocus problem.. .not happenin'.. disappointed in DJI since this was my 3rd DJI drone .. have the original Mini and the Mavic Air 2 with NO problems with either one over the past 3 years

Do you realize the term Stacked Sensor means very little as ALL digital camera Sensors are stacked in a multitude of ways?

No, most are back-illuminated, only newer and more expensive cameras from 2016 are properly stacked without the trial and error. Stacked sensor means more light which is a huge thing. Problem is, there’s so many “i wanna make good a impression on dji products so they can send me free gear” videos that im getting sick. So if its such a big deal, and if its actually stacked etc, why not highlight that themselves. Software can be optimized, its like the action 4. Sensor is not stacked, but pixel optimized. But since everyone says that the Air 3 is stacked, im just going with it😎

So all these news and specs and that image you showed at the 2:40 mark....its basically an Air 3..inside a form factor of a "Mini" body..you get this Mini 4 Pro..haha the price point is close to the Air 3..difference maybe of around $600 US dollars?..Air 3 starts at $1099/RCN2 and $1550 Fly More Combo/RC2...thats the question consumers will eventually ask themselves is the Air 3 worth that much more in the price difference?..haha

Hi Rob, don't think that buying the Air 3 is better than buying the Mini 4 because it has specifications that are similar to the Mini 4 Pro, but it has an advantage with another lens, higher specifications, and air resistance. The only thing that distinguishes the Mini 4 Pro is its size, weight, and not being subject to laws.
